Downtown Corridor Project, DPW, Friends of Hopkinton featured on HCAM's Hangout Hour

On Wednesday, August 4th, the Hangout Hour was joined by David Daltorio and Michelle Murdock, who updated us about the Downtown Corridor Project. In the 2nd half of the show, we were joined by Don Cronin with the Friends of Hopkinton and their Marathon Runner Morgan Woodman, Live in the Studio, to talk about the fundraising that the Friends are doing. DPW Director, John Westerling also joined us to give us an update.

St. Paul’s and St. Stephen’s Collaborate to Share Priest-in-Charge Unique Arrangement Joins Churches from Different Dioceses

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Westboro have signed a Letter of Agreement which joins the two churches in a unique collaboration to share a Priest-in-Charge, Reverend Mary Rosendale. The Letter of Agreement was signed on Sunday, July 25 by Reverend Rosendale; Sharyn Philcox, senior warden of St. Stephen’s; Laurie LaBrecque, senior warden of St. Paul’s; Reverend Martha Hubbard, Regional Canon of the Diocese of Massachusetts; and Rev. Rich Simpson, Canon for the Ordinary for the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts.

The Town of Hopkinton, MA announced today that it has signed a 99-year lease with the 26.2 Foundation, granting the nonprofit organization a 19-acre site on East Main Street in Hopkinton for the development and construction of an International Marathon Center (IMC). Town Manager, Norman Khumalo talked with us about the agreement.

Long-term Lease with 26.2 Foundation Opens Door for Multi-acre
Cultural and Educational Institution on Boston Marathon Route

HOPKINTON, MA, May 27, 2021 – The Town of Hopkinton, MA announced today that it has signed a 99-year lease with the 26.2 Foundation, granting the nonprofit organization a 19-acre site on East Main Street in Hopkinton for the development and construction of an International Marathon Center (IMC). The site is located on Route 135 on the Boston Marathon route, less than two-thirds of a mile from the Marathon starting line.
