Carbone's Restaurant in Hopkinton will reopen Friday June 5th

After a fire caused heavy damage to Carbone's restaurant in early May, the restaurant will reopen Friday June 5th. Carbone's posted a message thanking customers for support on their facebook page; "Thank you for your continued support while we work to clean up and renovate due to the fire on Monday, May 4. We are blown away by the outpouring of support from our friends, loyal customers and employees. We are currently scheduled to re-open on Friday, June 5 and look forward to seeing you then!" They also announced on the page they will be opening at 4pm Friday June 5th.

Hopkinton Residents Start A "NO CVS in Hopkinton" Facebook Page

After it was revealed that a CVS Pharmacy would be vacating the available space in the former Colella's building, a number of Hopkinton residents expressed outrage by joining a Facebook group called "NO CVS in Hopkinton". The group already has over 430 followers and is plastered with photos and posts expressing disapproval in a CVS pharmacy coming to town.

Colella's space has been leased!

According to multiple sources in addition to housing a liquor store, the available Colella's space has been leased to a CVS Pharmacy. The 22,000 sq ft Colella's building was sold to Waltham based "Crosspoint Associates inc". They purchased the property as Hopkinton CP. LLC back in March for $3.3 Million. More Details to come.

**Update** A representative of Colella's confirmed that the liquor license will eventually be transferred to another business, part of the space will remain a liquor store.

2015 Town Election Results

The town elections results are in! (Official numbers will be released tomorrow but the results are expected to be similar if not the same.)

In the one of two contested races Laura Hanson edged Bob McGuire for the Parks and Recreation unexpired term to 2017, 785-756.

In the school committee race, Jean Bertschmann and Jon Graziano captured the available seats. Bertschmann tallied 1,092 votes, Graziano 1,099 while Brian Karp came up short with 841.
