As a result of significantly reduced patronage during recent snow storms, many Massachusetts small businesses have lost sales and fallen behind in meeting their financial obligations, including payroll. This can have a negative impact as it ripples through the local economy, on business owners and employees.
After 34 years in business the Golden Spoon located at 85 West Main street will have their last day Sunday, March 1st.
Golden Pond will host a lecture series on chronic pain self-management on March 2, 9, 16, 23 and on April 6 from 9:00-11:30 AM. The series will focus on practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and stress. The series is presented by The Healthy Living Center for Excellence with Bay Path Elder Services. Pre-registration required.

The Market began in 1945 by Daniel E. Colella with the original store located at 34 Main Street. The market moved to the current location at 61 Main Street in 1955. Three of the six Sisters in the family currently still work in the business; Dale Danahy, Diane McGrath and Sandy Varnum.
The Hopkinton Library enjoyed cake, music by Fuze and also cupcake decorating and a magician for the kids as they celebrated their 120th birthday. Director Rownak Hussain talked about the event.
