IBEW Local 1505, representing over 2,500 electrical workers throughout the state has endorsed Karen Spilka for Congress.

Water Main Construction Update - July 14th

Starting on Sunday, July 14th construction work to replace the downtown water main will occur at night from the hours of 6:00PM to 5:00AM. It is anticipated to work from Sunday through Thursday. No construction will occur on Friday during regular construction hours. The construction crew will start at 67 Main Street progressing across the intersection ending at 43 Main Street (Hopkinton Gourmet).

Please plan your commute accordingly.

Beginning July 12 Route 85 Open to Local Traffic Only

Please be advised that beginning Friday July 12, 2013 at 8:30 PM, Route 85, Cedar St., in Hopkinton will be open to LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY due to road construction in support of the railroad bridge replacement project on Cedar St. in Southborough.

All Non-Local traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Cedar St., Route 85 and Main St., Route 135 in Hopkinton and rerouted through Ashland into Southborough. Detour signs will be posted to assist motorists.

The detour will be in place until Monday July 15, 2013 at 5 AM.

Latest Main Street Construction Upate

Starting on Monday, July 8th construction will resume at 43 Main Street (Hopkinton Gourmet) working towards Hayden Rowe. The parking spaces on both sides of Main Street will be utilized to accommodate two lanes of vehicular traffic. Therefore those parking space will be barreled off as a temporary parking restriction on Sunday night on both sides of Main Street from 43 Main (Hopkinton Gourmet) to 17 Main St. (Z Bistro). It is intended that the construction crew will use these spaces as long they are in the construction zone.

Please plan your day accordingly.

HCA Cleans out with Help from Liberty Mutual Employees

On June 17th, the Hopkinton Center for the Arts welcomed seven employees from Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Hopkinton office who helped clean out the garage, storage room and costume closet.”

“We are so grateful to Liberty Mutual Insurance for their help in cleaning out and organizing our storage spaces.” said Kelly Grill, executive director of HCA. “It’s great to have that building de-cluttered and organized, and we are thankful to have such supportive corporate neighbors in town.”

Main Street Construction Update

Starting tomorrow Main Street will have two travel lanes. The parking at the municipal spots on Main Street will be temporarily restricted in the construction zone. Therefore the parking spots that will be utilized for vehicular traffic are from Old Town Liquors to the Main Street/Cedar Street/Grove Street intersection. This area is considered the construction zone for tomorrow. These parking spots will be cordoned off at the close of business today. The affected businesses will be notified the day before for use of the parking spots.
