Weather Trends in Hopkinton: June 6th through 13th 2022

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton June 6th through 13th was 85.2 degrees, the lowest was 52.9 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 65.8 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 75%, the peak was 96% while the lowest was 37%. Rain accumulated 0.11 inches last week. Eastbound Detour on Main Street at 135/85 Intersection – 6/15/22 - 6/17/22

An eastbound detour on Main Street will be in place from Wednesday, June 15 through Friday, June 17. Eastbound
traffic will be detoured up Grove Street, across Maple Street and back to Main Street via Hayden Rowe. Westbound
traffic on Main Street will remain open.

Parking spaces on the south side of Main Street may be impacted, but access to businesses will be maintained. Detail officers will be on-site to assist with traffic flow. The detour will remain in place during daytime working hours only.

All Welcome to Celebrate St. Paul’s Feast Day June 26

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton invites its neighbors and friends to join in the St. Paul’s Feast Day festivities on Sunday, June 26. The celebration begins with a Holy Eucharist service at 11:00 a.m., which will include the installation and blessing of a recently restored historical document regarding the consecration of St. Paul’s in 1899. A pot-luck lunch will follow. This is also a great opportunity to meet our inspiring new priest, Rev. Mary Rosendale, and hear her preach. All are welcome.

Eastbound Detour on Main Street at 135/85 Intersection – 6/15/22 - 6/17/22

Hopkinton Water Department located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts has levels of PFAS6 above the Drinking Water Standard

What happened?
Our water system received notification of PFAS6 results showing that our system violated the 20 ng/L PFAS6 Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) drinking water standard during the January - March 2022 compliance period with a quarterly average of 24 ng/L at the Fruit St. Pump Station. The quarterly average of PFAS6 has ranged between 22 and 26 ng/L since Quarter 3, 2021 to date and our system will continue to notify consumers every 3 months with updated information as required.

Hopkinton IT Department Shares New Design Concept For The Town’s Upcoming Refreshed Website

The Hopkinton IT Department is pleased to share the design concept for the town’s new website.

The town launched a survey in February to solicit feedback from residents, volunteers, and employees. The survey asked about the current website, future design ideas, and areas of focused improvement; including examples of overall design style and asking residents to pick their favorite wireframe (layout) from five examples.

Hopkinton received over 125 responses that included a number of common trends. This feedback was used to drive the design concept for the new site.

HCA plans a full summer of entertainment for Metrowest communities

Hopkinton Center for the Arts is excited to announce their line-up of summer entertainment. Starting June 18 with the Barbara Corbett Memorial kick-off concert featuring the RUMBLEKATS, a wide variety of musical groups will play each Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. at their site located at 98 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton. For those people who prefer jazz, the HCA will feature a different jazz concert every Sunday in July from 11 am - 12:30 pm.
