School Committee Announces 2 Openings, VEX Robotics Competition and more.. On March 17th HCAM News!

On the March 17th edition of HCAM News at 6:30pm, Hopkinton middle school hosts their annual spring 6th grade concert, Margie Wiggin guides us through the fruit street trails, the VEX robot competition took place at Hopkinton High School and more but first, the School Committee is attempting to fill 2 unexpected open positions.

HCAM News airs every Thursday on HCAM-TV at 6:30pm until 7pm to keep you up to date with all that is happening in Hopkinton.

Community Notice: Become a Dementia Friend

A Dementia Friends Information Session gives people an understanding of dementia and the small things you can do that make a difference.

You will learn about the different types of dementia and a bit about what it’s like to live with dementia.

Please join us at one of two April events sponsored by the Hopkinton Council on Aging.

Hopkinton Center for the Arts: Arts in Bloom 2022

Calling all Artists! HCA's most anticipated art exhibition is scheduled for May 23–June 15, 2022, and we are excited to announce that this year's show will be juried by Sorin Bica.

Bica is a resident artist at SOWA artist Studios in Boston and The Mill Contemporary Art in Framingham, MA. He is also the curator and owner at Project B Gallery in Framingham, MA. Bica is represented by Barba Contemporary Art Gallery, Palm Springs CA, Fountain Street Fine Arts, Boston MA, AZ Fine Art, Chestnut Hill MA, Paula Esty Gallery in Newburyport MA and Project B Gallery in Framingham MA.

Town of Hopkinton Seeks Candidates for School Committee Vacancies

Town Manager Norman Khumalo and Town Clerk Connor Degan report that two seats on the Hopkinton School Committee will be included on the ballot for the upcoming spring Town Election following the recent resignations of two School Committee members.

Rather than appoint temporary replacements, the Town chose to add the positions to the ballot for the May 16 Annual Town Election. The decision was made during a special meeting of the Hopkinton Select Board Saturday morning.

Mary Korbey 3v3 Tournament Live on HCAM Sunday, March 13th at 8am!

HCAM will have the livestream of the annual 3v3 Mary Korbey Basketball tournament airing live starting at approximately 8am. The tournament is estimated to go to approximately 3pm but subject to time change.

The tournament stream can be found at www.youtube.com/hcamtv (due to time constraints it will be a new stream every 3 hours available on HCAM You-tube!)

Open to the public; registered Hopkinton Democrats invited to participate

Hopkinton, MA. March 6, 2022: The Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee (HDTC) will be holding its nominating caucus for the May town elections on Friday, April 8, at 6:30 PM at the Hopkinton Town Hall in Room 215 (Select Board room), 18 Main Street, Hopkinton. Check-in and registration will begin at 6:00 PM.

March is Music in Our Schools Month!

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) officially designates March as Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM), a time for educators to raise awareness of the benefits of music education for all children and that school is where all children should have access to music.

Hopkinton High School has a Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter. This is the only national honor society for student musicians. Hopkinton's Tri-M members include 2022 Valedictorian, Celia Jenkins and 2022 Salutatorian, Olivia Sward!
