Household Hazardous Waste Collection July 14

The Town of Hopkinton Department of Public Works will hold their Hazardous Waste Collection at the Hopkinton High School, 90 Hayden Rowe on Saturday, July 14 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

GUIDELINES
 Collection of household hazardous products only
 Keep items in original, sealed containers whenever possible
 Limit 25 pounds of products per household
 Limit one trip per household
 Hopkinton Residents ONLY. Proof of residency required (Driver’s License)
 STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE SITE

Heat advisory issued ahead of Monday's hot temperatures in Mass

A heat advisory has been issued ahead of Monday's potentially dangerous heat.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for multiple counties in Massachusetts Monday, including: Essex, Hampden and Middlesex. The heat advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday. Heat index values around 100 degrees are expected.

Sunday, June 24, noon : Whitehall Woods walk. We'll tour one of the town's newest Open Space properties. The trails wind through a beautiful area, with connections to Upton State Forest. Part of the walk is in a wildlife sanctuary, so no dogs, please. Whitehall Woods is located at 203 Pond Street in Hopkinton. When you arrive, follow the entrance of a new subdivision road on the west side of Pond Street to a small gravel parking lot on the left side of the road. You will see a sign for "Whitehall Woods Trail, Connector to Upton Forest", and an entrance kiosk in front of the parking area.

The Center School Re-use Advisory Committee hosted their 1st public forum on Wednesday (6/13) at the HCAM studios. During the forum, potential uses for the Center School building were discussed.

The Center School Re-use Advisory team includes: Claire Wright, Frank D'Urso, Michael Auen, John Pavlov, Rob Dobinski, Amy Ritterbusch, Jennifer Devlin, Darlene Hayes, Laura Barry, Ken Weismantel (Vice-Chair) and RIchard Flannery (Chair).
