The Town of Hopkinton is accepting applications to fill two (2) full-time position and further to establish a list of potential candidates for the FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC position.

Salary Depending on Qualifications and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Within twelve (12) months of hire, the Firefighter/Paramedic shall make their principal place of residence within the boundaries of the Town of Hopkinton or at any other place within the Commonwealth that is within fifteen (15) miles boundary to boundary of their town and the Town of Hopkinton.

Saturday, May 12th - Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive
The Project Just Because Hopkinton Food Pantry depends on this food to help stock our shelves for the summer months.
Non-perishables just need to be put in a bag by the mailbox and the letter carriers will pick them up on May 12th.
All food will come to the Project Just Because Hopkinton Food Pantry to support Hopkinton children and families.
If you miss your mail carrier, food items can be dropped off at PJB, 109 South St., Hopkinton from 12:00-4:00 on May 12th.

Guest Speakers included: Representative Carolyn Dykema, Board of Selectmen Chair, John Coutinho, Town Manager, Norman Khumalo and Boston Athletic Association CEO, Thomas Grilk and more. Enter Stage Left Theater presents Movie Magic, performed by The Treblemakers, Hopkinton’s Adult Chorus. The Treblemakers, a vocal ensemble of about 30 members from Hopkinton and surrounding towns, performs twice each year – a holiday concert and a spring concert.

Directed by Richard Romiti and featuring such hits as Someone to Watch Over Me, The Rainbow Connection, Beyond the Sea, Evergreen, and many others, this year’s spring event features songs that will lift your spirit, from movies we love.

Richard R. Brault Experienced the Beach Assault of Okinawa in April 1945

The Battle of Okinawa was the last conflict of World War II, and the largest battle of the Pacific Theater. 12.5 thousand Americans were lost (KIA) among a total of 82 thousand casualties including non-battle casualties. During the battle, the world was anticipating an ensuing assault of Japan's home islands. It never happened. The war ended abruptly with the dropping of two atomic bombs.
