The Town of Hopkinton is seeking proposals from non-profit, 501(c)(3) organizations interested in being the lead entity on a new food security initiative. This new initiative is intended to meet the nutritional needs of Hopkinton residents by seeking innovative ways to expand perishable food programs that are currently being offered. The organization that is chosen to lead this initiative will be granted $25,000 to be disbursed January 1, 2018 and utilized by June 30, 2018.

Hopkinton Lacrosse Turkey Trot Fun Run 2017

Join the Hopkinton High School Lacrosse Team on Thanksgiving,Thursday November 23, 2017 7:30 AM at Hopkins School for a fun, family friendly, approximately 2.5 mile turkey trot around the High School sports complex to burn some calories before the big meal. We encourage wearing Green, Orange, and White or costumes to support the Team and the local community. With the race over well before 8:30 am, there is plenty of time to go support the Hopkinton Hiller Football Team as they take on rival Ashland in the Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic.

Video: Athletic Fields Sub-Committee Hosts Public Forum to Discuss Plan for Turf Fields

In October 2016, a sub-committee was formed to come up with a plan to renovate the fields at Hopkinton High School. Design work on the project began in April 2017. On Wednesday (10/18) the Athletic Fields sub-committee hosted a public forum to share their 2 phase plan for the Hopkinton High School Athletic Fields. The probable start date for construction is June 2018, the estimated cost is 3.8 million dollars. Gale Associates is the engineering firm that will be handling the project.

Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s October 25

The October Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.
