Michelle Murdock and Jim Kleinkauf from the Hopkinton Independent and HCAM News Director, Tom Nappi teamed up to interview the 2 Board of Selectmen Candidates running for the open seat in this years town election. The candidates include current co-chair of the Board of Selectmen, John Coutinho who is endorsed by the town’s Republican Caucus and Amman Haidri who was endorsed by the town’s Democratic Caucus.

Planning Board Debate Wednesday May 10th at the HCAM Studios

On Wednesday May 10th at 7pm there will be a Planning Board Candidates Debate live at the HCAM studios at 77 Main St. The debate will air live on HCAM (Comcast Channel 8, Verizon Channel 30) or feel free to join the studio audience.

Panelists Include: Tom Nappi (HCAM), Michelle Murdock (Hopkinton Independent) and Jim Kleinkauf (Hopkinton Independent)

Single Again Meeting May 19 to Focus on May Baskets for Seniors

The May Single Again meeting being held at 7:00 p.m. on May 19 will focus on creating May baskets for the Hopkinton Senior Center. The Single Again meeting is open to the public and will take place at the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street in Hopkinton.

Single Again is a support group for people who, though divorce, death, or other circumstances, are single again. It is not a dating group, and while it is a faith-based ministry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, it is open to everyone.

Camp Bailout Summer Program to be Held for 7th Consecutive Year

In coalition with the Ashland Fire Department and the Ashland Board of Selectmen, Camp Bailout Summer Program will be held, for the seventh consecutive year, July 10-14, 2017.

Camp Bailout is a week long program designed to educate young women on firefighting and emergency service skills, in a dynamic and fun environment. The week long curriculum is interactive and physically challenging, where the girls will gain strength and knowledge while building confidence and leadership skills.

The sun was shining, the High School was filled with runners and the anticipation was building. The months of prep had led Bill Goebel of Westborough to that moment at 11:15 when the gun went off and he began the 26.2 mile run that he had been waiting for; his first Boston Marathon in support of the Hopkinton Education Foundation. "The crowd support was amazing and like nothing I've experienced before and am still amazed that I could run for 26 miles and kept my hand up hig h fiving people the entire way."
