Hopkinton Drug Hosts Their 28th Annual Holiday Open House

Celebrate the Holiday Season with all of us at Hopkinton Drug on the weekend of December 3rd and 4th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM for our 28th Annual Holiday Open House.

Bring the whole family along and enjoy everything from refreshments, door prizes, raffles to benefit Project Just Because, music, and caricatures to children's crafts, face painting, and pictures with Santa! (Please make sure to bring your own camera.)

Other highlights include sampling natural products and the opportunity to meet with representatives from some top supplement companies.

HPLF's 4th Hoptoberfest Raises $30,000

On Friday, October 28, over 300 “Hoptoberfest” partygoers filled St. John’s Parish Hall, raising over $30,000 for the Library renovation and expansion project set to open its doors in the Summer of 2017. Hopkinton Public Library Foundation’s Fourth Annual Hoptoberfest, a fun night out to celebrate the fall and enjoy all things local, helped Library fundraising top $800,000.

Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 1 Christmas Tree Sale

Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 1 is selling fresh cut Christmas trees again this year. The tree lot behind CVS opens after Thanksgiving, on Friday, November 25 at 12:00pm. The trees are the fragrant traditional New England Balsam Fir (4-11 ft.) and the dark green, low-shedding, sturdy-branched Fraser Fir (5-12 ft.). The scouts will be selling trees until they are gone. Hours are Wed 4-7pm, Thurs 4-7pm, Fri 4-9pm, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Each year Troop 1 makes a special order to their vendor for the largest tree they can find to donate to the town.

Hopkins Principal Tells Of Small Fire In School

Dear Hopkins Families,

At approximately 9:10 this morning, our fire alarm system was unexpectedly activated and Hopkins School evacuated to our fields. All students and staff were immediately accounted for, per our evacuation procedures. The fire department was on scene and after an investigation determined that there had been a small, contained fire in a bathroom that activated the sprinkler system in the area.

Holiday Caroling on the Common

Holiday Caroling on the Common will take place at the Town Common on December 3. Caroling will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the tree lighting and visits with Santa. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by Hopkinton Parks & Recreation.

Please bring a safe, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots, and new cold weather items (hats, mittens & gloves, coats, blankets, etc.) to donate to Project Just Because.

All are invited to kick off the holiday season!

Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s November 30

The November Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert. The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.
