Summer Camp Panel Discussion

The Hopkinton PTA and the American Camp Association have joined forces this year to bring camp information to Hopkinton families in a convenient and fun format. On Saturday, February 12, from 12PM to 3PM, the HPTA will hold its first Summer Camp Fair at the Hopkinton High School cafeteria.

Regional day camps, sleepaway camps and family camps will be on hand to provide information, making finding a the right camp for your child easier.

Planning for Relay for Life Begins

On Sunday, January 30, 20 members of the Hopkinton Relay For Life Planning Committee visited the Hope Lodge in Boston to make dinner for the residents. More than 50 guests enjoyed a wonderful spaghetti dinner and the Committee members enjoyed the opportunity to meet the residents. Hope Lodge is a temporary residence facility available for cancer patients undergoing outpatient treatment at the Boston hospitals. Patients are able to stay, free of charge, at the Hope Lodge for the duration of their treatment.

Taps Vigil February 6

Please join the Hopkinton Veteran’s Celebration Committee on SUNDAY, February 6 as we join thousands of communities across America for a remembrance ceremony at the Hopkinton Senior Center at 28 Mayhew Street in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The Committee is hosting a “Sunday Taps Vigil” starting at 7:00 p.m.

The ceremony will consist of a short tribute to American soldiers, veterans and their families and is expected to last 15 minutes. The ceremony will include the sounding of the 24 hauntingly beautiful notes of “Taps”.

The basement of the O’Loughlin home in Hopkinton is draped with an assortment of formal gowns and dresses as the Leos -- along with members of the HPTA -- prep for this year’s Perfect Dress fundraiser. Brittany O’Loughlin, Leos President, and her friends admire a few personal favorites: a fuchsia, full-length column dress with delicate beading, a black and white graphic strapless mini with a bubble skirt, and a sequined, teal ball gown worthy of any prom queen.
