Senate Unveils Mental Health ABC Act: Addressing Barriers to Care
Today, the Massachusetts Senate unveiled An Act Addressing Barriers to Care for Mental Health, a comprehensive mental health care reform bill. This legislation is the first step toward putting the Commonwealth on a pathway to developing a more integrated system of mental health care delivery to better meet the needs of patients. The Mental Health ABC Act removes barriers to timely quality care, provides the state with more effective tools to enforce existing mental health parity laws, and invests in the mental and behavioral health workforce pipeline.

At this past Tuesday's Select Board Meeting, the Board affirmed the Town Manager's appointment of Cailin Chenelle and Erin Bassler as Senior Library Assistants. The Select Board also authorized a letter of support for the MassDOT proposed improvements to the Fruit Street bridge and approved the award of the lease of property at 45 East Main Street to the 26.2 Foundation for an International Marathon Center.

Town of Hopkinton Announces Award of International Marathon Center Request for Proposals
Hopkinton’s Select Board announced Tuesday night that the 26.2 Foundation is the winner of the competitive
bid process to build and operate an International Marathon Center (IMC) at 45 East Main Street. The Town of
Hopkinton issued a Request for Proposals from qualified organizations in July 2019 to lease 45 East Main
Street, a parcel gifted to the Town by Legacy Farms LLC, for an IMC. "The 26.2 Foundation submitted a very
strong and very detailed proposal that met or exceeded the requirements of the Request for Proposals. The

Hopkinton Cultural Council 2020 Grant
Hopkinton Cultural Council announces 2020 grant recipients and a hosted Hopkinton “Council Program”. The grants are going toward supporting local exhibits, workshops, festivals, lectures and community enrichment events. We received 26 grant applications and we able to award grants in full or part to 11 of them. There are many worthwhile applications for funding but have limited funds to be able to facilitate them all.
