Community Notice: Severe Drought Watering Restrictions

Due to the continued severe drought, watering restrictions remain in place. No lawn watering is permitted. The only permitted uses are the hand watering of plants, shrubs, or gardens before 9 AM or after 5 PM. Also for Health or Safety reasons; for the production of food and fiber; for the maintenance of livestock; or to meet core functions of a business. We are now at over an 8” rain deficit for the year with no significant rain in sight through the remainder of the month. Anyone that still has their lawn sprinklers on, needs to shut them off immediately!

The 124th edition of the Hangout Hour took place on Thursday, September 17th at 2pm and featured DPW Director, John Westerling talking projects in town and Hopkinton Public Health Director, Shaun McAuliffe with a Public Health Update.

Our next edition of the Hangout Hour takes place on Friday, September 18th at 2pm and will feature Hopkinton Police Chief, Joseph Bennett and Ashley Scionti to talk about HPD happenings and the Jail Diversion Program.

Reminder: Hopkinton Annual Town Meeting Takes Place Tomorrow (Sept 12, 2020)

Annual Town Meeting - REMINDER Annual Town Meeting will be held on Saturday September 12, 2020 at 9:30 AM at the Hopkinton High School in the “old bus loop” area. There will be one large tent, able to accommodate 200 people with socially distanced seating.

Families, or those residing in the same household, will not be exempt from the socially distanced seating arrangements - and so we ask for your cooperation in not moving or relocating chairs. There will be additional seating outside the tent, for overflow, should attendance be over 200.
