"How to be Mentally Tough in Challenging Times" Online Public Presentation Thursday, April 2nd at 7pm

Much of life is out of our control. Join us in this session to learn to pay more attention to what you can control- your internal reactions and mental activity. Learn what you can stop doing that accomplishes nothing but to make things worse than they already have to be. Challenging times are stressful. It’s important to acknowledge that. But let’s minimize the self-created and self-inflicted stress.

Session Objectives:
-Grasp that you have control over what goes on inside of your head. If you don’t, then who or what does?

What we do for each other... on the Hangout Hour 4/1/20

The 6th episode of HCAM's new series "Hopkinton Hangout Hour" takes place at 2pm Wednesday, April 1st. The first half hour will feature Abbie Rosenberg in a conversation about dealing with stress and the second half of the program will be a discussion about what people are doing to help others during this time. High School teacher Doug Scott will be with us to discuss a community effort to make Medical Face Shields.

Town of Hopkinton and Boston Athletic Association Collaborate to Support St. Vincent’s Hospital

Hopkinton, MA (March 31, 2020) - Despite the postponement of the 124th Boston
Marathon until September 14, 2020, Hopkinton’s relationship with the Boston Athletic
Association (BAA) continues to benefit the town and the region.

Hopkinton resident Carolyn Jackson, who serves as the CEO at St. Vincent’s Hospital in
Worcester, MA, reached out to members of the Hopkinton Select Board looking for
emergency personal protective equipment (PPE) for her staff. The first group the Select
Board considered was the BAA.

Massachusetts Building Trades Council votes unanimously to call for a statewide suspension of all regular activity at construction sites in Massachusetts

MALDEN, MA – Today, the Executive Board of the 75,000 member Massachusetts Building Trades Council voted unanimously to call on Massachusetts Governor Charles Baker to declare a statewide suspension of all regular activity at construction sites in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts beginning Friday April 3rd and continuing through April 30th.
