What to do if you have been notified that you may have been exposed to COVID-19
If you have been notified that you may have had an exposure to a close contact or a
presumptive positive COVID-19, the Hopkinton Health Department offers the following
guidelines for clarification. Please note that the CDC would consider contact with a contact
exposure as “no identifiable” risk for transmission, but we have decided as a department to
provide our residents education about symptoms of COVID-19 and the incubation period.

A number of notices are regarding the Corona-virus in Hopkinton are available at our website hcam.tv. The notices regard the response to the virus as well what the symptoms are and what to do if you think you may have the virus.

Schools in Hopkinton were closed starting on Wednesday of this past week due to 2 presumptive cases of the virus in Hopkinton as stated in a notice by the School Superintendent, Dr Carol Cavanaugh.

Hopkinton Health Department Assembles Team to Assess Potential Exposure to COVID-19

Hopkinton, MA - (March 12, 2020) In an effort to mount a response to the Governor’s
Emergency Declaration due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Massachusetts, the Hopkinton
Health Department on Wednesday, March 11 assembled a team to begin a trace back and risk
assessment of potential exposures within the Town of Hopkinton.
Team members include Health Director Shaun McAuliffe and Public Health Nurse Kasey Mauro,
Hopkinton School Department nurses, Fire Chief Slaman, representatives of the Hopkinton Fire

Community Notice: Corona Virus Update from Hopkinton Health Department

The Hopkinton Health Department is committed to protecting everyone that lives, works or attends school in our community. We continue to work closely with and receive guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public health as well as the Center for Disease Control regarding COVID-19. It is our mission to minimize the risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses like influenza or COVID-19 by educating the public.

Red Cross Blood Drive at Hopkinton Middle School on Feb 29th 9am-2pm

The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at Hopkinton Middle School on Saturday February 29th from 9am until 2pm. Anyone 17 and over can participate (this includes people from other towns), and 16 year-olds can also donate with parental consent in the form of an eligibility form.
