Warren Noel LaBonte, 94, formerly of Springfield, MA died Wednesday July 9th, 2014 at Wingate at Springfield. Warren was a son of Albert and Wilhelmina (Saxe) LaBonte, and was born on June 12, 1920 in Longmeadow MA. He was a decorated World War II Veteran, serving in the Navy on the USS Raymond (DE-341). Warren fought to assist the American naval victory in the Battle off Samar Island in October 25, 1944 in the Philippine Sea. His military honors include the Presidential Unit Citation, American Theatre Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal.

Mario P. Ciccarelli, 68

Mario P. Ciccarelli, 68, devoted husband of Aranka Ciccarelli passed away at his home in Hopkinton on June 30th surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Mario P. Ciccarelli and Lena Ciccarelli. He was a former resident of Milford and an accomplished mason for 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter Andrea Hathaway and her husband Paul of Maryville, TN, two stepdaughters; Sandra McGrath and her husband Paul of Hopkinton, MA, and Joanne Martin and her husband Paul of Hopkinton, MA, six grandchildren, one sister in-law Marie Ciccarelli and mother in-law Mary Grenga.

Virginia W. Mahar, 87

Virginia W. Mahar, 87, of Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Matalives) and Joseph Nogelo. She was the wife of the late James P. Mahar who passed in 1988.

Virginia was a member at the Hopkinton Senior Center and volunteered at the Michael Lisnow Respite Center. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, walking and gardening.

Richard James Bartlett, 71, of Hopkinton, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Arline R. (Newman) and Ernest C. Bartlett. He was the husband of Wendy (Varnum) Bartlett of Hopkinton.

Miss. Jean Marie Harrington, 83

Miss. Jean Marie Harrington, of Ash Street, Hopkinton, died at home on May 23, 2014. She was born in Framingham on September 11, 1931, the daughter of Daniel and Florence (Kaminski) Harrington. She was a 1950 graduate of Hopkinton High School and a life long resident. For many years she was employed by the former Deerfoot Farms, Southborough, Carlos Restaurant, Ashland and retired from MCI Framingham. She is survived by her brother, William Harrington, her sister, Patricia Byrne, both of Hopkinton, nieces, and nephew, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Barbara A. Bresse, 87, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the widow of the late Donald Bresse, who died in April 2009. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor (Marston) Dudley. She was a 1948 graduate of Walnut Hill School, Natick and a 1952 graduate of Boston University. She taught for 30 years in Hopkinton, at both Center and Elmwood Schools. She was a former member of the Christian Women's Club.

Pauline B. Sawyer, 86

Pauline B. Sawyer, 86, of Hopkinton, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Born in Jamaica Plain, MA, she was the daughter of the late Beulah (Dillingham) and George Sawyer.

Pauline was born and raised in Jamaica Plain and worked in Boston for several years before moving to Hopkinton. She retired from Valpey Fisher.
