Agnes F. (Ronan) Rogers, 102 of Marblehead, formerly of Hopkinton, went home to be with the Lord November 1, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Cleburne T. Rogers. Agnes is survived by son; William M. Rogers (late wife Joan Carroll), daughter; Karen T. Rogers, granddaughter; Sydney Rogers & partner Jennifer Gallinovich, great granddaughters; Shannon Anderson and Mia & Greta Swartz. Cherished aunt of Donald E. Morrisette, Mary Ellen Harris, Lynne A. Sowers. Paul R. Morrisette & partner Wendy Stone & sons; Benjamin, Nicholas & Kristopher and several cousins.

Jennifer J. Hart, 48

Jennifer J. Hart, 48, of Hopkinton died peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 31st after a brief, but courageous battle with brain cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Patricia (DeCoff) Hart and the late Donald Hart Sr. of Hopkinton. Jen was a graduate of Hopkinton High School Class of 1984 and worked as a mortgage underwriter for Gateway Funding of Franklin. Jen was a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She enjoyed golfing, good times with friends, and lazy days by her sister’s pool and at the ocean.

Eugene F. Daniels, 55

Eugene F. Daniels, 55, of Hopkinton, passed away Tuesday, October 14,
2014 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Woods) and Richard Daniels. He was the husband of 26 years to Ellen (Houston) Daniels of Hopkinton and father to Christopher Daniels of Hopkinton.

Walter Brown Passes

Walter Francis Brown, 69, of Jerusalem Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at his home after a long illness. His family had been at his bedside.

Born April 1, 1945, in Boston, he was the son of George V. and Ellen Frances (Crow) Brown Jr. He graduated from Rivers Country Day School in Weston, Massachusetts, and Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of the Boston University hockey team.

Angelina E. (Nuzzi) Pineau, 80

Angelina E. (Nuzzi) Pineau, 80, of Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Umass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Jamaica Plain and raised in Wellesley, she was the daughter of the late Filomena (Cassesa) and Pietro Nuzzi. Her husband of almost 60 years, Joseph L. Pineau passed away in February.

Alvan "Al" William Hicks, Jr., 48

A beloved husband, father and son, Alvan "Al" William Hicks, Jr., 48, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lisa (Hegarty) Hicks, and cherished sons Jason Connor Hicks, Ryan Blakely Hicks and Braden Jeremy Hicks, all of Hopkinton. Born in Nashua, NH and raised in nearby Milford, NH, he was the son of Nancy (Heath) and Alvan William Hicks, Sr., also of Milford, NH.

Anita Elizabeth Smith, 89

Anita Elizabeth Smith, 89, of Sudbury and formerly of Holliston, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. Born in Holliston, she was the daughter of the late Edith (Collins) and Arthur Edward Jones. She was the wife of 68 years to Robert Smith of Hopkinton and formerly of Holliston.

Anita was a longtime member of the Congregational Church and a past matron of Myrtle Chapter order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel.

Harold Edwin Tolstrup, 87

Harold Edwin Tolstrup, 87, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Kindred Nursing Home in Westborough. Born in Melrose, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Ryder) and Paul Tolstrup. He was the husband of 50 years to Lillian (Blanchard) Tolstrup of Hopkinton.
Harold had worked at Fenwall and Smiley Buick. He is predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Richard Tolstrup.

Jane Welzel, 59

Jane Welzel, a five-time Olympic Marathon Trials participant, race director of the Mountain Avenue Mile and Bacon Strip Races and one of the pioneers of the women's running movement, died Sunday after a brief battle with cancer. She was 59.
