Teens and Mental Health Awareness

On Monday, March 26th, from 7:00-8:00 pm, Jean Vazza of Hopkinton Youth Services will facilitate a community-minded discussion on "Teens and Mental Health Awareness" at the Hopkinton Public Library. Topics of focus for this small, group-style discussion include awareness of mental health, signs, frequency and identification of mental health disorders, how to discuss mental health issues with teens, and the importance of reducing stigma, and community resources. Participants are invited to contribute their perspectives and suggestions.

beFree Handball Tournament Friday March 17

The beFREE! Project is sponsoring another alternative social event for High School students this Saturday night. This event is open to all Hopkinton High School students.

beFREE! HANDBALL TOURNAMENT
Saturday, March 17th 7:00 - 10:00PM
High School Athletic Center
Admission: $5 per player, teams must register at HS by Thursday
Admission is FREE to watch friends play.

High School students are encouraged to come watch their friends compete for prizes and bragging rights!

Destination Imagination Team Advances to State Championship

The Hopkinton Middle School 7th grade Destination Imagination team won the Regional DI competition in Douglas this weekend for the challenge “Solar Stage” yesterday and was awarded a Renaissance award for outstanding design, engineering, and performance. The team consists of five girls - Erin Webb, Riley Strickland, Emma Griffiths, Team Manager Linda Holly, Heather Holly, and Elise Kiszla. The team moves on to represent Hopkinton in the DI State Championships at Worcester Polytech at the end of the month on March 31st.

HPTA Summer Activities & Wellness Fair this Saturday

The Hopkinton Public Schools present the 10th annual Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 10 from 10am to 2pm at Hopkinton High School. This event will showcase more than 30 groups, organizations, and businesses that promote health, safety and fitness. Visit the Interactive booths, learn about healthy foods and products. Activities for ALL AGES! Events are taking place in the high school cafeteria, the athletic center and the auditorium, so be sure to check the schedule below.

Hiller Cheerleaders Continue Fundraising Efforts for Trip to Nationals

As part of their efforts to raise money for their upcoming trip to Nationals in Florida later this month, the Hillers Cheerleaders hosted a trivia night at the Woodville Rod and Gun Club on March 2nd.
