Some of the many Brilliant minds of Hopkinton High School showed off some of their work at the annual Science & Engineering fair. This year 28 projects were on display and the 12 winning projects got the chance to qualify for the regional science & engineering fair on March 10th. The contest featured 16 judges and the fair was sponsored by the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Association, Bose Corporation and Perkins Elmer.

Alexander "Sasha" Fomin of Hopkinton Middle School has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2017 Massachusetts National Geographic State Bee. The contest will be held at Elms College in Chicopee on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Blackstone Valley Wealth Management Announces 2nd Annual Hopkinton High School Scholarship

Blackstone Valley Wealth Management is pleased to announce the offering of a $1,000 scholarship to be given to a Hopkinton High School student graduation this spring. To be eligible for the Blackstone Valley Wealth Management Annual Scholarship, the student must be:
• Currently a senior at Hopkinton High School, graduating in 2017.
• Planning to pursue a higher education at a college or university immediately after high school
• A child in a single-parent home who can display financial need.

February 13, 2017 - Due to weather conditions, Hopkinton Municipal buildings staffed by non-essential personnel will have a delayed opening of 11am today, Monday 2/13. This includes Town Hall and Library.

Hopkinton Public Schools are CLOSED on Monday,...All after school and evening events are cancelled.

New Elementary School Building Naming Narrowed to Ten

At their meeting on January 30, 2017, the School Committee narrowed down the elementary school building names submitted by the public to ten (10). The community is invited to participate by indicating their selection through a survey available on the Hopkinton Public Schools homepage. The survey will be open until Friday, February 10, 2017. Copies will also be available at the Library and Senior Center.

Fomin Moves Closer to $50,000 Scholarship

Hopkinton, MA, January 23, 2017— Sasha Fomin, an 8th grade student at Hopkinton Middle School, won the school competition of the National Geographic Bee on January 20th and a chance at a $50,000 college scholarship.

Thousands of schools around the United States and in the five U.S. territories are participating in the 2017 Bee. The school champions, including Sasha Fomin, will take a qualifying test; up to 100 of the top scorers on that test in each state will then be eligible to compete in their state Bee.

To kick off the Hopkinton Youth Commission Martin Luther King day festivities, the Michael Lisnow Respite Center battled members of the Hopkinton High School Basketball team. After the basketball game Hopkinton High School Teacher and Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Dan Norton spoke about his volunteer experience and the benefits of volunteering. Dan about his experiences volunteering in countries around the world including Mexico, Ecuador and Thailand. View the story below.

Hopkinton High School Students Perform At Central District MMEA Senior High Concert Festival

High School musicians from 64 high schools in the district participated in the 60th annual Central District Massachusetts Music Educators’ Senior High Festival. The 3-day Festival culminated with a concert of all ensembles at Mechanics Hall in Worcester on January 14th.
