The Hopkinton Lions Club recently hosted their annual Youth Speech Contest. HCAM news caught up with this years winner Kevin Gu. Kevin Gu won the contest this year for his 2nd straight time. The topic of the speech this year was "What is Heroism?".

This past week, Hopkinton High School hosted their annual International Night. The event brought together students of many different backgrounds to talk about their cultures. Food, Music, Historical Souvenirs and Language were among the displays. View scenes and the full program below.

Applications for Hopkinton Integrated PreSchool Lottery 2020-2021 Due Feb. 1

Applications must be received at the Hopkinton Integrated Preschool no later than February 1st. The preferred method is to complete the application online as this timestamps the receipt of your application. The link to electronically apply is located on the PreSchool homepage. You may print out the application if needed and mail it to Kim Sullivan.

The lottery will take place prior to the February 6th School Committee meeting. HCAM will televise the lottery live. The lottery results will be posted on the preschool website within 24 hours of the lottery.

Hopkinton Youth Services hosted the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at the Hopkinton Public Library. Members of the Scouts, National Honor Society, Hopkinton students and volunteers were in attendance to participate in the many activities for charitable causes and to give back to their community. Last night, the Hopkinton High School Top of the Hill program inducted five Hopkinton High School alumni. The Top of the Hill program "honors alumni for their exceptional achievements and contributions to society." The alumni started off their day by going to various class rooms and speaking with students and then received their Top of the Hill award at the evening ceremony. On Thursday December 5th, a Hopkinton Public Schools Public Hearing will take place at Hopkinton High School from 6 until 7pm. Topics will include Enrollment, Physical Plant Needs, 10-year Build-Out Plan and Impact of construction on academic programming. There is also an opportunity for those planning on to attend to view the newly renovated space at the White House building at 4pm.
