Hopkinton Education Foundation Announces 2018 Grant Awards

The Hopkinton Education Foundation (Ed Foundation) awarded 6 grants totaling over $55,900 to schools in the Hopkinton Public School system. These 6 grants were chosen as their ideas best met the foundation’s criteria for innovation and positively impacting the Hopkinton Public School System. After today’s announcement, the total funds awarded to the Hopkinton Public School system are nearly $1.3 million.

Did You Miss the HHS Drama Ensemble's One Act Play Festival?

On Thursday, May 17th, the Hopkinton High School Drama Ensemble held their annual One Act Play Festival. Five plays, that were written and directed by the students, were featured.

The Book Club, written and directed by Kaylin Brentana and Ethan Ritterbusch and is about a mother and housewife, Nicole, and her husband, Mark, are moving into a new town. In an attempt to meet some new people Nicole joins a book club of local moms. However, she soon begins to realize that there is more to this book club than just cheese, crackers, and mom-gossip.

Departing School Committee Chair, Jean Bertschmann and Member, Jon Graziano were honored at this past Thursdays School Committee Meeting. A number of community members, co-workers and government officials including State Representative, Carolyn Dykema and Selectmen, Brian Herr spoke about the invaluable service given by Jean Bertschmann and Jon Graziano to the community. Hopkinton High School Pops Concert Sunday May 20th 3pm

Hopkinton High School cordially invites the public to its annual POPS Concert 2018 on Sunday May 20 at 3:00 p.m.

Enjoy performances by the music department’s Chorus, Noteworthy, Men’s Chorus, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab, Symphonic Band, & Concert Band.

WHERE: High School Athletic Center at 90 Hayden Rowe St.

ADMISSION: $5 for individuals, $20 per family.
All proceeds go to the Hopkinton Music Association Scholarship fund.

Refreshments included with admission!

Hopkinton HS Students to Compete at Destination Imagination (DI) Global Finals 2018 Seek Fundraising

Please help make competing at the Destination Imagination (DI) Global Finals 2018 Tournament possible for our team! The competition will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee from May 23-26.

Destination Imagination is a unique organization that teaches kids how to think creatively and prepare for life after high school. DI is offered in countries all around the world.

The Hopkinton Women's Club hosted their annual Awards Luncheon at the Hopkinton Country Club. Hopkinton Women's Club awarded 3 Hopkinton High School students this year. Hopkinton Women's Club President, Annette Proudman also announced she will be stepping down from the role and Barbara Buchner will be the next Women's club President. View the awards ceremony below!

MassBay to Hold Annual All Vehicle Show

MassBay Community College will hold its annual All Vehicle Show on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 8AM – 12PM at the MassBay Automotive Technology Center in Ashland. The show is free and open to the public, featuring vehicles of all genres – from 1930s roadsters to modern muscle cars to imported vehicles. The spectators that attend will vote for the top 20 vehicles and the People’s Choice Award, in addition the MassBay alumni will vote for the Alumni Choice Awards.
