The Hopkinton Women's Club hosted their annual Awards Luncheon at the Hopkinton Country Club. Hopkinton Women's Club awarded 3 Hopkinton High School students this year. Hopkinton Women's Club President, Annette Proudman also announced she will be stepping down from the role and Barbara Buchner will be the next Women's club President. View the awards ceremony below!

MassBay to Hold Annual All Vehicle Show

MassBay Community College will hold its annual All Vehicle Show on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 8AM – 12PM at the MassBay Automotive Technology Center in Ashland. The show is free and open to the public, featuring vehicles of all genres – from 1930s roadsters to modern muscle cars to imported vehicles. The spectators that attend will vote for the top 20 vehicles and the People’s Choice Award, in addition the MassBay alumni will vote for the Alumni Choice Awards.

For the 26th year, John Hancock brought elite Kenyan runners to Elmwood school as part of the Scholars & Stars program. This years runners included: Nobert Kigen, Wilson Chebet, Evans Chebet, Felix Kandie, Geoffrey Kirui, Philemon Rono, Stephen Sambu, Edna Kiplagat, Caroline Rotich and Gladys Chesir. Video: Marathon Runner, Becca Pizzi Speaks at Hopkinton Middle School

This past winter, for her 2nd time, Marathon Runner Becca Pizzi out of Belmont, MA completed 7 marathons on 7 different continents in 7 days. Becca became the first female to complete the 7-7-7 challenge in 2016 and in 2018 took home the Female title once again. Becca's next big event is the upcoming Boston Marathon. Hopkinton Public Schools Athletic Field Public Forum

The Athletic Field Sub-Committee will be hosting a Public Forum on the Turf Field Project on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7 pm in the High School Library.

Please come to learn more about the project proposal. Break out sessions including community use of the fields; Q&A with the manufacturer of the organic infill; and project funding will be facilitated, and there will be ample time for questions and statements from the community.

Project Abbie won the HubMadness 2018 competition for the most innovative technology idea in Boston tech! Thank you for your support and voting over the last week!

Project Abbie, at Harvard University’s Wyss Institute, has made incredible progress! The team is working in conjunction with Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Hopkinton Music Department Results in MICCA Concert & Chroal Festival

The Hopkinton Public Schools Music Department is proud to announce their results from the 2018 Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Concert and Choral Festival, March 23-25. The Hopkinton music students performed well earning Gold (outstanding performance) and Silver (excellent performance) ratings. Congratulations to all the students and their teachers on their achievements.
