Hiller Field Hockey Play Date

Come join the Hopkinton High School Varsity Field Hockey Team for the 9th annual fun filled Skill Development and Play Day. Participants will get to work with varsity players and coaches in learning about field hockey or perfecting current skills. The Play Day is designed to educate and mentor field hockey players of all levels.

There will be fun activities and small-sided games. This Play Day is a fundraiser for the Hopkinton High School Field Hockey Program. Don't miss the excitement!

Volleyball Still in First, XC on a Roll

The Hiller Field Hockey team lost a tough one 1-0 to the Mustangs at Medway. They are on the road again on Friday, September 19, to face the Raiders at Dover-Sherborn at 3:30pm.

The Hiller Volley Ball team remains in 1st place in the Tri-Valley League with a 3-0 win over Norton at the Athletic Center. The ladies head to Holliston on Friday, September 19, to face the Panthers for a 4:30pm match.

The Girls Cross-Country team continues to roll through the TVL as they sprinted past Medway 15-50!

Hopkinton Cultural Council Seeks Funding Proposals

Proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs are due October 15, 2014.

The Hopkinton Cultural Council has set an October 15, 2014 postmark deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.

According to Council spokesperson Barbara Timko, these grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Hopkinton - including exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

Under federal and state special education regulations, Hopkinton Public Schools has a duty to locate, identify, refer, evaluate and, if eligible, provide a free, appropriate public education to students with disabilities who reside in the town of Hopkinton. Girls Tie, Boys Lose, Golf Takes First.

"I'm really proud of the way our golf team performed today at the Hopkinton Country Club." said Coach Bliss as the Hillers defeated previously undefeated Dover/Sherborn by the score of 225 - 243. The Hillers take sole possession of first place in the Tri Valley League with their win today. The Varsity record is now 6 - 0. We had great individual performances by Jr. Matt Johnson who shot a 1 under 35 - Our Capt. Jimmy Hervol made a double bogey on the last hole and still shot 37.

Golf Keeps On Rolling

The Varsity and the Sub Varsity were both successful Monday and continued their winning ways. Both teams have 5-0 records at this early point in the season. The varsity went to Glen Ellen C.C. and defeated Millis by the score of 243 - 309. The sub varsity traveled to Millwood Farms Golf Club and defeated Framingham by a score of 254 - 272.

Hillers Sweep Friday

As the week in sports at Hopkinton High wraps up, big wins for 3 teams made this a memorable Friday.

In Hopkinton on Field 10, the Field Hockey team beat Westwood 3-0 with 2 goals by Kayla Sullivan and 1 from Julia Macchi. Sara Freedman was stellar in net. The ladies travel on Wednesday to face the Mustangs in Medway.

The Hiller Football team opened up their season at David Hughes Stadium with a big 35-27 win over Wayland. Great start to the season! The Hillers will head to Upton on Saturday the 19th for an 1100am game at Nipmuc Regional.

Hiller Soccer Splits, Golf Wins Again

The Hiller Girls Soccer team lost to Medfield 2-0 on Thursday and will host the Lancers at Field 13 on Tuesday.

The Boys Soccer team got an early goal from Graham Kulig and it helped out for a 1-0 win over TVL rival Medfield. Greg Holler gets 2nd shutout of the year. The Hillers head out to Norton on Tuesday for their next match.
