Class of 2014 Senior Recognition Night and Graduation Ceremony Replaying This Week

Congratulations to the Hopkinton High School Class of 2014! The Senior awards have been handed out, and so have the diplomas. For those looking to relieve those moments, the Senior Awards Night and Graduation Ceremony will replay this week on HCAM-ED, Comcast channel 96 or Verizon channel 91. Here are the dates and times.

HHS Student Wins Photo Award at Congressional Art Competition

HHS Sophomore Sasha Hagan captured the photography award at the 2014 4th District Congressional Art Competition. Congressman Kennedy’s office released the names of the winners this week (press release).

Photography teacher Sterling Worrell nominated Hagan’s still life image for the congressional award, which also won an award at the annual HHS student art show last month.

Class of 2016 Fundraiser

The sophomores will be holding a fundraiser at Bill's Pizza on Monday, June 9th. Ten percent of every purchase made throughout the entire day will be donated to the class. Please support our class by stopping by for a snack or for dinner. Thank you!

Middle School Field Day Volunteers Needed

It's almost time for Field Day, which is being held at the Middle School this year. We would love your help if you are able to volunteer to help with food, or with general help during the event, or sign up for both! The dates for the three grades are as follows:
June 17 - 6th grade (yellow area on google doc)
June 18 - 8th grade (green area on google doc)
June 19 - 7th grade (blue area on google doc)

College Prep Information Session for Juniors Tuesday June 17th at Library

Hopkins Principal Finalist for Supers. Job

Mr. Martineau announced today that he is a finalist for the position of Assistant Superintendent for the Northborough-Southborough Public Schools. Although he continues to enjoy his work in Hopkinton, this career opportunity was one that he felt compelled to explore given the proximity to his home. We wish Mr. Martineau well in the process and congratulate him for this exciting career opportunity.

Additional Date Added for Co-Teaching Public Forum

Tuesday June 3rd 7:00-9:00pm at the High School Library and Wednesday June 4th 7:00-9:00pm at the Middle School Library
The Director of Student Services, Marijane Hackett and Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cathy MacLeod will present an overview to explain the philosophy behind co-teaching. As you may be aware, one of the instructional interventions that will be offered for students next year involves placement in a co-taught classroom. The forum is intended to provide an opportunity to answer any questions you may have.

Hiller Rackets End Regular Season On High Note

Hopkinton High School Lady Hillers Swept the Medway mustangs 5 Love. The Hillers end their regular season at 13-1 in Tri-Valley League (League champions for third year straight), and 15-3 overall. Team tournament seedings and bracket will be announced next week on Tuesday. "Earliest we might begin tournament is next Thursday" said Coach Nancy Clark. " We need a week to practice and heal!"
