Video: Meet New Hopkinton HS. Athletic Director, Deirdre King

To start the 2016 High School fall sports season, Hopkinton High School welcomed in Deirdre King as their new Athletic Director. Deirdre referred to by many as Dee King is a former Basketball Coach at Framingham and Ashland High School. "I grew up playing sports my entire life, it's always been a huge part of who I am." Dee is very excited to be part of the Athletic Department in Hopkinton; "there's a lot of pride here that already exists and I can't wait to keep that going and grow it." King mentioned she plans on growing the community outreach of the Hopkinton H.S.

Video: Hillers Football Preview 2016

Hillers Football finished 6 and 5 overall last year and made their 3rd straight playoff appearance which resulted in a 28-14 loss against Duxbur. This season the Hillers will have to adapt to a new QB as Jake Kelleher is gone, new bodies on the offensive and defensive line as well as the loss of key WR Jack Vaccari and Key RB Sam Lehman.

Despite the loss of many key players, including the captaints from last year, the new captains of the team are ready to step up. HCAM news caught up with 3 of this years captains; Tim McGrath OL/DL, Isaac Stilwell RB/LB and Jimmy Adams QB.

Video: Keep Smilin 4 Abbie Field Hockey 2016 Highlights

The 3rd annual Keep Smilin 4 Abbie foundation Field Hockey event took place Saturday August 6th, the event featured 2 Field Hockey games, The games took place to benefit the Keep Smilin 4 Abbie Foundation. The foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization began operations in January 2014 after Hopkinton student and Field Hockey player, Abbie Benford passed away due to an anaphylactic reaction. The Foundation hosts numerous events for funds to raise awareness of anaphylaxis and to fund research. The event featured 2 games and 4 teams.

Spectator ticketing for the 2016 KeepSmlilin4Abbie Field Hockey fundraiser is now open! Spectator tickets are $12 when purchased on-line, $15 at the door on the day of our event: August 6, 2016.

Your ticket will include a tee shirt and a key chain! We'll have food trucks as well so you can eat great BBQ while you watch the Hiller alumni take on the Hiller 2015 varsity squad. We'll also have an exhibition game between community leaders and parents of the program.

June 10, 2016 - Hopkinton Hillers Softball fell to King Philip in the South D1 Semi-Finals 4-0. Kali Magane pitched the complete game shutout for King Philip striking out 10 hitters. The Hillers finish 19-4 overall under first year Head Coach, Kiely Murray.

June 10, 2016 - Foxborough defeated Hillers Tennis 3-2 in the South D2 Championship. Hillers girls tennis went undefeated in TVL play under 1st year Head Coach, Christine Lyons. The Hillers finished 19-3 overall.
