Rebound: The Chris Herren Story

Chris Herren, a basketball legend from Fall River, Massachusetts, dreamed of one day playing for his hometown team, the Boston Celtics. An All-American, Chris broke scoring records, was recruited by top colleges, featured in Sports Illustrated and became the focus of an acclaimed book, "Fall River Dreams". Herren realized his lifelong dream of playing in the NBA when he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 1999 and was traded to the Boston Celtics after his rookie season, but lost it all due to substance abuse.

Hiller Hockey

The Hiller hockey team salutes the fans after their final regular season game. Coach MacPherson's team finished the season with an impressive 17-3 record. Hopkinton held their opponents to a paltry 1.50 goals against avg. while pitching 6 shutouts. Now they await the MIAA tournament seedings next week, to determine their first round opponent. Great Season guys! More work to do!

Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition

The Ashland/Hopkinton council of the Knights of Columbus is holding its annual free throw competition on Saturday February 6th at Keefe Tech HS in Framingham. Competition registration begins at 1:30 PM and the competition starts at 2:00 PM. The competition is FREE and is open to all Hopkinton/Ashland boys and girls between ages 9-14. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and certificate of participation. Trophies and medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each age group for both boys and girls.
