Video: Hopkinton Hillers Boys and Girls Basketball Playoff Update

On Monday The 11th seeded 10 and 10 Hopkinton Hillers girls took on #6th seeded Wayland in the Girls Central Division 2 Sectionals. The Hillers led 16 to 10 after the 1st quarter of action. Lauren Cho dropped 9 points in the 1st frame but the Wayland offense came alive in the 2nd quarter and early foul trouble led to 9 points off of free throws for the Warriors. Wayland outscored Hopkinton in the 2nd 26 to 6 and led at the half 36 to 22.

Hopkinton High School Alpine Ski Team Sending 6 Athletes to State Championship

Hopkinton High School’s Alpine Ski Team is proud to announce that it is sending six of its athletes to the 2020 MIAA Alpine Ski State Championship, which will be held at Berkshire East Mountain on March 4th, 2020. At the state championship, these athletes have the opportunity to compete against the top high school racers from across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Boys Basketball: The 10 and 10 Hillers earned the 8th seed in the Central Division 2 bracket and will head to Grafton HS on Thursday, Feb 27th to take on #1 Grafton. Game will tip-off at 6:30pm

Girls Basketball: The 10 and 10 Hillers earned the 11th seed in the Central Division 2 bracket and will head to Wayland HS on Monday, Feb 24th to take on #6 Wayland. Game will tip-off at 6:30pm

**Updated** Boys Hockey: The 19 and 1 Hillers earned the number 1 seed and will host the winner of #17 Silver Lake and #16 Holliston at the Canton Ice House Friday Feb 28th at 5:20pm.

Video: Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball Update 2-18-2020

On Monday, the Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball team clinched a playoff spot with a 59-40 win over Algonquin in the Westboro Invitational Tournament. The win was their 2nd win in a row and follows up a 54-30 win over Bellingham last Friday. Hopkinton is 10 and 9 on the season and takes on Medway Feb 18th in the Westboro tournament for a chance to play in the Championship game on Thursday, Feb 20th. Basketball seeding for the MIAA tournament is expected to released either this Friday or Saturday.

The Hopkinton Hillers played 3 games this past week. On Saturday February 8th, the Hillers had 5 different goal scorers and beat Norwood 5 to 2. On Monday February 10th, Hopkinton defeated Oliver Ames 8 to 5 in a non league game. The Hillers capped off their last week of regular season home game with a Senior Night ceremony and a 3-0 win over Holliston.

The TVL Large Champion, Hopkinton Hillers stand at 16 and 1 on the season and will next head to Martha's Vineyard for a weekend tournament to close out regular season play.

This past Friday it was a packed HHS Athletic Center as the Boys Basketball team celebrated Senior Night prior to their game with Medfield. All proceeds for the game were also donated to help Fight Cancer as part of the American Cancer Society, Coaches vs Cancer program.

Hopkinton athletes take top spots in Boys & Girls races in Week 4

Hopkinton claimed both top spots for the boys and girls races at the Central Massachusetts Conference Ski League Slalom competition on Thursday February 6, 2020 at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury.

For the boys, Senior Captain Max Rodgers placed first with the fastest combined time of two runs. Max’s twin brother Jack placed second, while Junior Jackson Schlussel placed seventh, and Junior Cameron Hanna placed 22nd. The boys team claimed second place behind the formidable St. Johns High School team.

Boys Basketball: Hillers have hit a bit of a rough patch. They have lost their last 4 games and currently stand at 9 and 7 on the season. The Hiller Boys are one win away from clinching a playoff spot and have the next 4 games in order to grab that clinching win. This past week they lost to Dover-Sherborn on Tuesday and Westborough on Wednesday.

Girls Basketball: Hillers have won their last 4 games. The Hiller Girls are 2 wins away from clinching a playoff spot and have 5 games left in the season.

Town of Hopkinton Announces Award of International Marathon Center Request for Proposals

Hopkinton’s Select Board announced Tuesday night that the 26.2 Foundation is the winner of the competitive
bid process to build and operate an International Marathon Center (IMC) at 45 East Main Street. The Town of
Hopkinton issued a Request for Proposals from qualified organizations in July 2019 to lease 45 East Main
