Video: Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 1-25-2019

-On Saturday January 19th, Hopkinton Hillers boys hockey took on Holliston. The game was a defensive struggle for both sides with some great goaltender play. The Hillers got over 50 shots on net but Holliston goalie Nico Quatromoni kept the Hillers at bay making save after save. The Hilers would proove to be too much to handle for Holliston however. In the 3rd period. In the 2nd period with 1:35 Tommy Hamblet netted a goal which would proove to be the game winner. The Hillers improved to 8 wins 2 losses and 2 ties with the victory.

-On Friday January 11th, Hillers Boys Basketball captured a 57-33 victory over Millis. Senior, Brendan Kelly netted 17 points in the win.

-On Saturday January 12th, Hillers Boys Hockey tied 3-3 with Norwood. Hillers led 2-0 after 1st period but surrendered 3 goals in the 2nd period. Sean Walsh netted the final goal of the game with 5:24 left to go in the 2nd period.

-On Tuesday January 15th, the Hillers Boys Basketball team took care of business versus Medfield. The Hillers won by a 62-48 final.

On Wednesday, Hopkinton Hillers Boys Hockey took down Medway at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin by a final of 5-2. After a scoreless 1st period, the Hillers racked up three 2nd period goals: Steve Simoes (14:15), Jake Weinstock (7:15), Cam Jerret (1:46). In the 3rd, Sean Walsh made it a 4-1 game with 5:51 left and Steve Simoes hit an empty netter with 51 seconds left to secure the 5-2 win. Hopkinton improved to 6-2-1 on the season, Medway falls to 3-6-1. View highlights below!

Hopkinton Hillers Boys & Girls Basketball Defeat Dedham

Hopkinton Girls defeat Dedham in Double Overtime 51-46
-Freshman, Lauren Cho contributed 10 points and 9 Rebounds, Sophomore, Millie Senseney also put up 10 points as the Hillers snapped a 3 game losing streak and improved to 4 and 3 on the season. Dedham falls to 5 and 3.

Hopkinton Boys pick up big 62-48 road win over Dedham
-Junior, Thomas Ambrosone and Senior, McCallum Lind record 12 points a piece in Hillers victory. Hopkinton is now 3 and 3 on the season, Dedham falls to 3 and 4.

-Hopkinton Hillers Hockey is 5 and 2 overall on the season. In 3 of the past 5 games, Junior, Sean Walsh has recorded a hat trick.

-Hopkinton Hillers Boys Basketball is 2 and 2 heading into their first game of 2019 versus Westwood tonight.

-Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball is 3 and 2 heading into their first game of 2019 versus Westwood at home tonight.

-Hillers Boys & Girls Swimming kicked of 2019 with a win 92-86 over Holliston on Wednesday January 2nd.

Video: Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 12-19-2018

-On Saturday December 15th, Hopkinton Hillers Boys Varsity Hockey hosted their home opener versus Ashland. After a 1-1 1st period, the Hillers netted 3 goals within a minute and a half of each other in the 2nd period. Junior, Sean Walsh netted a hat trick and helped the Hillers to a 5-2 victory over Ashland.

The Hillers improve to 2 and 0 on the season and have outscored their opponents in the first 2 games of the season by a total of 15 to 2.

Video: 95th Thanksgiving Hopkinton-Ashland Football Game

Last Thursday, it was a very cold morning as Ashland and Hopkinton met up for the 95th time on Thanksgiving.

The first offensive snap of the game couldn't have gone any better for Ashland. Jackson Hornung connects with Nathan Sickles who takes it to the house for a 70 yard touchdown, extra point was no good. score remains 6-0.

The Hillers respond in the 2nd quarter, a 28 yard touchdown from Ryan Kelleher to Brenden Kelly evens up the score. The Brendan Kelly extra point puts the Hillers up 7-6.

Video: Hillers-Clockers Set to Meet for 95th Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Morning, the Hillers and Ashland will meet for the 95th time on turkey day. On Thanksgiving versus Ashland, the Hillers lead the rivalry with 51 wins, 38 losses and 5 ties. Last year the Hillers defeated Ashland 11-7 in a hard-hitting defensive battle. The Hillers have won 3 of the last 4 Thanksgiving games versus Ashland but lost in this years regular season meeting 8-7.
