Video: Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 2-16-2018

-The Hopkinton Hillers Alpine Ski Team sent 6 athletes to the state championship which will take place March 6th. The Hillers ski team has 20 athletes in total, 18 boys, 2 girls. The Boys finished 5 place overall out of 12 teams. The Top 20 Girls and Top 24 Boys in the league qualified for the state finals. Representatives in the finals from the Hillers include both the Girl members of the team Allison Marr (Ranked 4th), Cate Barry (Ranked 6th) for the boys. Max Rodgers (Ranked 13th), Jordan Hanna (20th), Jackson Schlussel (23rd) and Kyle Perkins (24th).

Fitting Conclusions to the 17/18 TVL Boys Basketball Season

The most competitive TVL boys basketball season in years is reaching its conclusion this week. While some questions about which teams will qualify for the MIAA tournament and what seeds they will get remain unresolved, champions of the TVL Large and TVL Small divisions will be celebrated before we fall asleep Friday night.

-On Saturday February 3rd, the Holliston Panthers met up with the Hopkinton Hillers for a crucial TVL showdown at New England Sports Center. The Hillers got things started off quickly, with a goal by Sean Walsh less than 2 minutes in at 13:06 left. Hillers stuck again with another goal by Matt Lindquist at 3:16 left in the period. Will Abbott would put the icing on the cake at 4:15 left in the 3rd period. The Hopkinton Hillers get a step closer to clinching the TVL as they take down Holliston 3-0. Hopkinton improved to 12-2-1 with the win while Holliston falls to 11-4-1.

On Wednesday January 31st, the Hopkinton Hillers Swimming team hosted Senior Night Festivities during their meet versus Foxborough. In the meet, the Hillers boys captured a 91-70 win while the Girls won 95-67. The Hopkinton Hillers also captured the Girls and Combined TVL Swim titles this past Sunday. Hopkinton Hillers Girls Take TVL Indoor Track & Field Title

The Hopkinton Hillers Girls posted a total score of 91 to take the TVL Indoor track title this past Sunday (2/4). Hopkinton finished 45 points above 2nd place Medway.

Girls Final Results: 1) Hopkinton - 91, 2) Medway - 38, 3) Millis - 37, 4) Westwood - 34, 5) Holliston - 32, 6) Norton - 27, 7) Medfield - 19, 8) Dedham - 18, 9) Ashland - 7, 9) Dover-Sherborn - 7.

Hopkinton Hillers Win 8th Straight Combined TVL Swim Title

The Hopkinton Hillers have captured their 8th straight Swim Title. The Hillers Girls finished 1st overall with a total score of 394 while the boys finished 2nd with a total score of 306. The Ashland Clockers finished 2nd overall with a combined score of 610. The Ashland Boys took the Boys title with a total score of 423, while the Clockers girls finished 3rd with a score of 187.

Combined Team Scores: 1) Hopkinton – 700, 2) Ashland – 610, 3) Holliston – 352, 4) Westwood – 316, 5) Dover-Sherborn – 262, 6) Medfield – 227, 7) Norton – 176, 8) Dedham – 137.

The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball team celebrated senior night prior to a 61-35 win over Westwood on Tuesday Night.

-On Friday January 26th the Hopkinton boys took on Norton 65-46. Junior guard Ben McKenzie was a force to be reckoned with dropping 21 points and had 5 assists. Luke D'Aloia also pitched in with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Hillers. Hopkinton took the win over Norton 65-46. The Hillers improved to 8 and 6 on the season with the win and are just 2 wins away from a playoff spot. The Hopkinton Hillers boys have now won 5 staight games.

Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 1-25-2018

-Hopkinton Wrestling defeated Bellingham Wednesday Night 39-12. Hopkinton is now 7-12-1 (2-3 in TVL) on the season. Freshman, Will Tedstone (113), Sophomore, Nate Burtucci-Bassonette (160) and Dan Sage (285) won by pin.

-Newton South Girls Basketball defeated Hopkinton (9-4) 44-32. Senior Captain, Ivy Gogolin had 8 points, 12 rebounds for the Hillers.

-Hopkinton Boys Hockey (10-1-1) defeated Dover-Sherborn (5-6-2) 5-1. Will Abbott scored 2 goals and had 1 assist in the win.
