Hopkinton Hillers Win 8th Straight Combined TVL Swim Title

The Hopkinton Hillers have captured their 8th straight Swim Title. The Hillers Girls finished 1st overall with a total score of 394 while the boys finished 2nd with a total score of 306. The Ashland Clockers finished 2nd overall with a combined score of 610. The Ashland Boys took the Boys title with a total score of 423, while the Clockers girls finished 3rd with a score of 187.

Combined Team Scores: 1) Hopkinton – 700, 2) Ashland – 610, 3) Holliston – 352, 4) Westwood – 316, 5) Dover-Sherborn – 262, 6) Medfield – 227, 7) Norton – 176, 8) Dedham – 137.

The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball team celebrated senior night prior to a 61-35 win over Westwood on Tuesday Night.

Hopkinton Hillers Seniors include: Coaching Assistant, Molly Bertschmann, Captains, #4 Ivy Gogolin and #32 Regan Keavany, #11 Calli Korbey, #12 Kate Huebner, #15 Marissa Prall and #22 Liz Liberta. View the senior night festivities below!

-On Friday January 26th the Hopkinton boys took on Norton 65-46. Junior guard Ben McKenzie was a force to be reckoned with dropping 21 points and had 5 assists. Luke D'Aloia also pitched in with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Hillers. Hopkinton took the win over Norton 65-46. The Hillers improved to 8 and 6 on the season with the win and are just 2 wins away from a playoff spot. The Hopkinton Hillers boys have now won 5 staight games.

Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 1-25-2018

-Hopkinton Wrestling defeated Bellingham Wednesday Night 39-12. Hopkinton is now 7-12-1 (2-3 in TVL) on the season. Freshman, Will Tedstone (113), Sophomore, Nate Burtucci-Bassonette (160) and Dan Sage (285) won by pin.

-Newton South Girls Basketball defeated Hopkinton (9-4) 44-32. Senior Captain, Ivy Gogolin had 8 points, 12 rebounds for the Hillers.

-Hopkinton Boys Hockey (10-1-1) defeated Dover-Sherborn (5-6-2) 5-1. Will Abbott scored 2 goals and had 1 assist in the win.

-Hopkinton Hillers Hockey took on Ashland on Saturday January 20th. It was another scoring fest for the Hillers. The Hillers netted 3 goals in the 1st period: Sean Walsh (13:37), Tommy Hamblet (13:25) and Kyle Rogers (4:32). Two more Hillers goals in the 2nd period: Will Abbott (14:24), Will Abbott (11:07) and Stephen Simoes (2:51) and one goal in the 3rd period: Kyle Rogers (5:20). The Hopkinton Hillers get the 7-0 victory and improve to 9-1 and 1 on the season.

On Tuesday January 16th: Girls Basketball: Ashland Defeated Hopkinton 39-36, Ryann Lima scores 14 points for Ashland as the Hillers fell to 8 and 2 on the season. The Hopkinton boys improved to 4 and 6 with a 66-37 win over Ashland. On Wednesday January 17th, Hilers Boys hockey picked up a 4-1 road win over Westwood.

TVL Basketball Update 1-12-2018

Chances are that we’ll look back at January 12 as the day the Tri Valley League boys basketball season truly began. Nearly everything up to this point could be considered preseason, as even though most teams have gotten through nearly half of their league schedules, only one TVL team, Millis, finds itself more than two games out of first place. To add to the intrigue, all five league contests pit a Large division team against a Small division team, with Westwood being the only Large school going on the road.

On Saturday January 6th, Hillers Boys Varsity Hockey improved to 5-1-1 with a 4-2 win over Dover-Sherborn. Will Abbott scored 2 goals in the victory and D.J. Sloan had 3 assists.

On Friday January 5th, Hiller Boys and Girls Basketball both earned home victories over Medfield. The Boys Varsity Basketball team grabbed a 65-57 win and the Hiller Girls won 45-35. Ivy Gogolin had 14 points and Regan Keavany put up 13. Hiller Boys now have 3 wins and 5 losses, the Girls improved to 7 wins and 1 loss overall.
