The Varsity lost to the Mustangs by a score of 4-1. Eric Guilmette had the lone Hiller goal. Bill Elder faced 41 shots on the night making some great saves.

JV's win

The JV hockey team beat Assabet today by a score of 5-1. Ryan Cunniff had 3 goals and 2 assists. Brandon Carty had a goal and 3 assists. Alex Juffras had the other goal. Tommy Motyka added 4 assists also. Dan Collins was stellar in the net.

The boys Varsity Hockey Team battled the Westwood Wolverines to a 2-2 tie in Canton. Stephen McCluskey picked up his first goal on a nice rebound shot in front. Eric Guilmette scored the second Hiller goal of the day. Bill Elder was tremendous in the nets, stopping several point blank chances to help preserve the tie.

The Hillers lost 6-2 to the Bellingham Blackhawks last night in Franklin. Bellingham's Tyler Colacchio , the states leading scorer, had 4 goals. Freshman Michael Messier pick up his first Varsity goal and Senior captain Eric Guilmette added the other.

JV Hockey

The JV Hockey team took on a varsity laden Bellingham team last night at the North Star Youth Forum. The Hiller squad came out on the short side by a score of 8-2. Anthony Gemma had the first goal with an assist by Brandon Carty. Carty had the second Hiller goal on a backhand with a loose puck in from of the next. Tim Montgomery made some great saves in net.

Hillers Girls Lacrosse Team Honored at State House

Representative Carolyn C. Dykema and Senator Karen E. Spilka were pleased to host the Hopkinton Hillers Girls Lacrosse team at the State House on January 4th to celebrate their 2011 Girls Lacrosse Division II State Championship.

The athletes were recognized for their achievements by both the House and Senate chambers and received citations to commemorate their remarkable season.

Hillers fall one goal short again. Hopkinton took on neighbor Milford last night at the Navin arena. The Hawks got on the board first with a goal that went in with the net about 6" off the moorings. Unfortunately it was unnoticed by the referees and the goal was allowed to stand.

Freshman Matt Decina picked up his first varsity goal on the powerplay with a great shot from the point, assisted by brother Mike. Milford was able to get the game winner on a deflection in from of Billy Elder. The Hillers visit Bellingham on Saturday night.

Invitational Applications for 2012 Boston Marathon To Be Distributed Via Lottery

In accordance with Section 2 of the Hopkinton Marathon Policy, the Board of Selectmen will distribute invitational applications for the upcoming 2012 Boston Marathon in the following manner:

The BAA has provided the Town of Hopkinton with 45 invitational applications for the 2012 race. Of those 45 invitational applications, 14 will be distributed directly to the Hopkinton Police Department; four will be distributed to the Hopkinton Fire Department; five to the Marathon Committee; four to the Senior Center; and one to the Hopkinton Historical Society.

The Hiller hockey team lost another nail biter to Grafton 5-3 this afternoon. The Hillers tied the game at 1-1 on a goal from senior captain Mike Decina. Down 3-1 in the third, Hopkinton stormed back to tie the game on goals by Nick Aggerback and Sean Bloomer. Aggerback's first goal was a lazer top- shelf over the Grafton goalies shoulder. Freshman Michael Messier picked up his first varsity point on a great face-off win to Bloomer, who fired hit home. With a little over a minute to play, Grafton was able to put one in to break the the tie. The last goal was an empty netter.
