What a great day to be a Bostonian! The 121st Boston Marathon took place today and it was certainly one to remember. The first winners to cross the finish line did so in record-breaking fashion. For the men's wheelchair race, in yet another close finish, Marcel Hug edged his long time rival, Ernst van Dyk for the victory. This victory gave Hug his third straight wheelchair title in the Boston Marathon. Hug, a 31-year-old Swiss native, set a Boston marathon record, finishing in 1:18:03.

Super Bowl Preview

It does not get any better than this: Super Bowl LI! The New England Patriots will play the Atlanta Falcons in Houston at 6:30 pm today. Yesterday it was announced that QB Matt Ryan, of the Atlanta Falcons, won the Most Valuable Player at the 6th annual NFL Honors. Ryan is very deserving of this honor as he has had the best season of his career, throwing for nearly 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns. The Atlanta Falcons in all have a complete and versatile team with so many astute players on both sides of the ball.

Fasten your seat belt folks! The New England Patriots will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 6:40 pm in Gillette Stadium. The Patriots are coming off a tough win against the Houston Texans while the Steelers won a thriller against the Kansas City Chiefs. This game will feature 2 teams that have top 5 defenses and offenses squaring off against each other. The Killer B's (Ben, Brown, and Bell) have been unstoppable in the final few games of the season while the Patriots have relied on Tom Brady to lead their offense.

Patriots vs Browns Recap

To all the critics who thought Tom Brady would be rusty in his season opener, how you like 'dem apples! Brady put on a clinic against the winless Cleveland Browns, throwing for 406 yards and 3 touchdowns. It seemed every time we looked, the Patriots were in the end zone. TE Rob Gronkowski and WR Chris Hogan had their best game of the season, both catching for more than 100 yards. The Patriot defense looked very impressive today by only allowing 13 points against the Browns and forcing a fumble and an interception.

Patriots vs Texans Preview

The weekend starts here! The New England Patriots will play the Houston Texans in Gillette Stadium at 8:25 pm. With both Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo out, third string quarterback Jacoby Brissett will get the start. TE Rob Gronkowski has been out since the start of the season with a hamstring injury, but plans to start today. The talk of the week, however, is that WR Julian Edelman will be the back-up quarterback. Edelman was a quarterback at Kent State and all Patriot fans remember his incredible TD pass to Danny Amendola vs the Ravens a few years back.

What to Expect in Patriots Season Opener

It's that time of year again folks! The Patriots will open their season against the New Orleans Saints today at 7:30pm in Gillette Stadium. After having an incredible season last year with a trip to the AFC Championship game, the Patriots will look to keep their sights high in 2016. The offseason featured the end of Deflate-gate with Tom Brady accepting the 4-game suspension to start off the season. The Patriots also signed 8 of their 9 draft picks to contacts.

Super Bowl Prediction

It all comes down to this: the Super Bowl! This Super Bowl will be the Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers at 6:30 pm in Santa Clara, CA. This matchup is between the top 2 teams in both conferences. The Panthers have been the Super Bowl favorite ever since the regular season began and they are many peoples pick to win on Sunday. QB Cam Newton is an MVP favorite this year and has had the best season in his young career. He has playmakers on offense with WR Ted Ginn Jr, RB Jonathan Stewart, and TE Greg Olsen at his disposal.

AFC Championship Preview

This is it folks, one game away from the Super Bowl! This AFC Championship will be the New England Patriots vs Denver Broncos at 3:05 pm on Sunday in Denver. Whoever wins this game will head to Santa Clara, California to play either the Carolina Panthers or Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. The Patriots are a 3 point favorite in this matchup against the Broncos, but that is not a positive in my opinion. This is a game where everyone is saying that Patriots will win and the Broncos are not being given any respect.

Patriots vs Chiefs Preview

This is going to be a game for the ages! The Patriots and Chiefs will square off against each other at Gillette Stadium at 4:35 pm on Saturday. The Chiefs are coming off an impressive win against the Texans. The game was over on the first play of the game with a kickoff returned for a touchdown by Kansas City. Alex Smith has been playing light's out football for the past 3 months. However, the Chiefs defense is what has gotten them this far. The last time these two met met, KC's defense absolutely dominated against Tom Brady's scheme.
