No doubt you’ve heard about the decision to postpone the 124th Boston Marathon to Monday, September 14th. While we fully appreciate the inconvenience this has caused everyone, especially for those traveling from afar, I wanted to take a minute to tell you why we’re happy about this.

Massachusetts Legislature Passes Moratorium on Non-Essential Evictions and Foreclosures Amid COVID-19

The Massachusetts House of Representatives and State Senate on Friday passed legislation that will provide a critical safety net for renters, homeowners, and small businesses grappling with the economic fallout of the coronavirus public health emergency.

The legislation prohibits all non-essential evictions and foreclosures and provides mortgage borrowers with forbearance options and protects tenants from late fees as well as other protections.

Virtual Town Hall Office Hours

Hopkinton continues to explore options for ways to best serve our residents during this
unique time. To that end, we are pleased to offer a pilot program that will begin on
Tuesday 4/21/2020. The Town Clerk’s office will be open to a virtual “office hours”
drop-in from 12:30pm - 1:30pm. During this time, you may click the link or dial the phone
number below, and be placed in line to discuss any transaction or conduct business with
the Town Clerk’s office as you would normally be able to do in-person at Town Hall.

HCAM's "Hopkinton Hangout Hour" returns Monday, April 20th at 2pm! In the first half hour we talk with Emily Karp who will show how you can make masks to help fight the pandemic. In the 2nd half hour, Hopkinton High School Athletic Director, Rich Cormier is on the program to talk sports!

Hopkinton Select Board Vice Chair, John Coutinho was at the Mayors office in Boston mid-March to help announce the Boston Marathon has been postponed to Monday, September 14th due to the Coronavirus threat. Coutinho connected with us to talk about the exciting September event and remind that Patriots Day is NOT the day to be at the Start Line.
