For the 2nd straight time there has been an MIAA spring playoff tournament, Hopkinton went to the sectional finals and then state championship, here’s a look.

Friday, 9 July 2021, at 0900 hours will be the Hopkinton Vets Breakfast at the Senior Center. Old Guard New England will be the guest chef. The entire cooking/serving crew has first-hand experience with military chow and inside/outside "mess" operations.

The menu comprises eggs, hash browns, bacon, and beef hash (SOS returns during the August breakfast), with tasty donuts, crumb cake, and coffee.

Donald Quentin Sears, 95, of Hopkinton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Born in Newton, he was the son of the late Edith (Hubbard) and Chester Hunt Sears. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Margaret “Peg”(Schermerhorn) Sears of Hopkinton.

Hopkinton Hillers Tennis finishes 2nd Place in TVL

With a squad of just 8 players, the team finished the regular season with a 13-2 record, 2nd place in the TVL.
As the #4 seed in the D1South section of the State Tournament,:
Hopkinton defeated Silver Lake(4-1), Bishop Feehan(5-0), #1 seed King Philip(3-2), and lost in the Finals to #3 seed Wellesley(2-3).
This is the furthest the team has advanced in the Tournament since moving up to D1 in 2018.

Crack Sealing work is scheduled to begin on Thursday July 1 on the following streets. One lane of traffic will be open at all times. Work is expected to take approximately two weeks. Work hours will be 9am-3pm except for Frankland Rd which will be 7am-3pm. All work is subject to change due to any potential bad weather.Please do not park any vehicles in the street as it will prevent the contractor from completing the work.

Johanna Impellizeri to Run the Boston Marathon and Fundraise for the Hopkinton Garden Club

The Hopkinton Garden Club is pleased to announce that Johanna Impellizeri will be running the 125th Boston Marathon and will raise funds on the club’s behalf. Johanna teamed with the Hopkinton Garden Club through the Boston Athletic Association’s charity program which works with Hopkinton’s Select Board. This year, the B.A.A. Boston Marathon, which starts in Hopkinton, will take place on October 11.

Rosemarie Phipps, 82, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton, surrounded by family. Born September 22, 1938 in Natick, MA, she was a longtime resident of Framingham and Hopkinton.
