Editorial: Main Street Alliance Delivers Citizens Petition to the Office of Hopkinton Town Manager regarding Main Street Corridor Project

Today, members of the Main Street Alliance delivered our original citizens' petition to the office of the Hopkinton Town Manager, with a copy also hand delivered to the office of the Town Clerk. The petition has over 350 signatures. We will continue collecting signatures.

New Show: Toon Time

If you're of a certain age, you remember spending Saturday mornings in your pajamas, eating cereal and watching cartoons on TV while Mom & Dad slept in. It was wonderful, and it's back! John Ritz is the producer for a new show on HCAM, Toon Time! He found a ton of public domain cartoons (mostly from the 30s & 40s), then we assembled them into one hour shows.

Toon Time airs Saturday mornings at 8:00. Please spread the word, then tune in (with a big bowl of cereal!) and enjoy the show.

Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 11-5-2019

Girls Soccer: The 17th seeded Hillers season came to an end on a rainy Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 loss versus #1 Old Rochester. The Hillers end their season with 7 wins, 7 losses and 6 ties.

Girls Volleyball: #2 Hopkinton will take on #3 Algonquin at Framingham High School. The game will take place Wednesday, November 6th at 4pm.

Boys Soccer: #14 Hopkinton earned the 2-0 upset win over #3 Diman Regional and will next play #6 Bishop Feehan at Bishop Feehan High School, Wednesday November 6th at 2pm.

Community Notice: Parking Ban and Snow Bylaws

The DPW wishes to remind all Hopkinton residents of By-Laws pertaining to the parking of motor vehicles during the winter months.
Traffic Rules and Orders, Town of Hopkinton, Article lV, Section 8 “It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than for an emergency, to park said vehicle on any street between the hours of 1:00am to 6:00am from November 15 through April 1.

This Saturday, November 2nd, a Donation Drive will be held at Pet Supplies Plus in Ashland at 43 Pond Street. Canine Companion has generously offered to hold a donation drive for the shelter. Please stop and drop off items from our wish list between 11:00 am-3:00pm.

Sunday, November 24th Santa Paws-Weston Nursery in Hopkinton (93 East Main Street, Hopkinton) Kick-off the holiday season early by coming to Weston Nursery between 10:00 - 3:00 pm to this event and get your pets photo taken with Santa. There will be other vendors selling treats for your pets.

Shop Local at the Primarily Potters Show & Sale in Hopkinton

The annual Primarily Potters Exhibit and Sale
returns to the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) this November for three days. The
public is invited to view the exhibit and to purchase handcrafted gifts and ceramic wares
from the artists for themselves or as unique gifts for friends and family. Items for sale will
include mugs, platters, vases, and other decorative items. Also available during the sale
will be a raffle basket featuring the work of the potters and benefitting the Hopkinton

Town of Hopkinton Receives Standard and Poor’s Highest AAA Bond Rating

The Town of Hopkinton is pleased to announce that Standard
and Poor’s assigned its highest credit rating, “AAA”, to its General Obligation Bonds to be used for
various municipal purposes.

The Triple A Bond rating, as designated by credit rating agencies like Standard & Poor's, represents the
highest level of creditworthiness a municipality can achieve and allows the town to borrow money at the
lowest commercial interest rates possible.
