Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian Appointed to National Effort to Improve Criminal Justice Data

Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian today announced his appointment to the newly formed steering committee to guide Justice Counts, the largest, most comprehensive effort to improve the availability and utility of criminal justice data to date.

Justice Counts, made possible by the support of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance, is a national, consensus-building initiative designed to help policymakers make better decisions with criminal justice data that’s more timely, less disjointed, and as useful as possible.

released publication on Friday, December 4th, 7-8:30 PM broadcasting on HCAM-TV.

This event is a celebration of a book of HOPE that has been written by community members and
published in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pat (Chesmore) Basinger, 78 of York Beach, Maine (previously of Hopkinton, Ma) transitioned to her new life, very quietly and gently, in the company of her daughters on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

Joanne M. Phipps, 74

Joanne M. Phipps, 74, of Hopkinton died Monday, November 23, 2020 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence “Butch” Phipps to whom she was married for over 40 years. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Francis “Max” Carey and Mary (McDonough) Carey.

Joanne graduated from Hopkinton High School in 1964 and retired from the Southborough Post Office after 27 years. She had a passion for horses, coached cheerleading and was heavily involved in the Boosters and community groups such as The Friends of Hopkinton.

Meet with Hopkinton Police Chief Bennett and State Representative Carolyn Dykema at virtual office hours this Monday evening from 5-6pm. Public safety is a concern to everyone in the community and Chief Bennett and we welcome residents’ thoughts and concerns in this one-on-one setting.
Each guest will meet individually with us, and we will welcome guests in the order that they enter the waiting room. In order to meet with as many residents as possible, we may limit the time for each meeting if there are others waiting. We appreciate your patience.
