The gathering will honor the memory of Charles Lowell, who served as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

All veterans are welcome to share in the camaraderie of fellow vets. In addition to great chow (including SOS) there will be remembrances of lost comrades, identifying those on "sick call," and a moment to recognize the 13 members of our military who were KIA while in support of the evacuation of Afghanistan.

The Reverend Robert Cloutier (Pastor Bob) of Hopkinton, MA went to meet his Lord on August 25, 2021 after a courageous eight-month battle with a rare form of Lymphoma.

A pastor at Faith Community Church Hopkinton (formerly First Congregational Church of Hopkinton) for over 37 years, Bob’s life mission was serving God by serving others. He did so with compassion, love, kindness, and commitment. He truly was a beacon of the fruits of the Spirit. Bob fully embraced his calling as pastor; he loved sharing the gospel and in his life he ministered to thousands.

Planning Ahead for Underground Utility Work

With drainage work for the Main Street Corridor Project nearing completion, the Town is now preparing for the next phase of the project which will include work related to the undergrounding of utilities. This undergrounding work will begin with the installation of six underground electric manholes (vaults) on Main Street between Wood Street and the intersection of 85/135. The vaults range in size but will generally require the excavation of 8' x 15' and, in some cases as large as 15’ x 11’pits, with the installation of each vault scheduled to take three days.

Asphalt paving work is scheduled on the following streets. Work hours will be approximately 7am-5pm. Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions. Please expect delays, seek alternate routes when possible and follow detours where posted.

Saturday August 28 - 7am-5pm

School St - West Main St to the Upton town line. Detours will be in place.
School St - West Main St to West Elm St. Detours will be in place.
West Main St - Oakhurst Rd to School St.

Monday August 30 - 7am-5pm

On the August 26th edition of HCAM News at 6:30pm, we’ll talk with Water & Sewer Manager, Eric Carty about a historical discovery in town, we’ll tell you about some great upcoming events in town and the School Committee discusses masks plus we talk with new Hillers Varsity Football Coach, Mark Sanborn but first the Hopkinton Fire Department said their final goodbyes to retiring Fire Chief, Stephen Slaman.

Hopkinton Fire Chief, Stephen Slaman whom has served the Hopkinton Fire Department for 32 years and as Fire Chief for just over 5 years is now retired. The Fire Department hosted a retirement gathering with community members and former co-workers of Chief Slaman and a big turnout was in attendance to witness his final ride and day at Hopkinton FD. Deputy Chief, William Miller was voted in as the Hopkinton Fire Chief following Chief Slaman's retirement. View more in the video below!
