Robert Henry Marlette, 81

Robert Henry Marlette of Hopkinton, died peacefully on November 3, 2020 after living a full, rich life for 81 years. Bob was born in Oneonta, NY, the son of Herbert Theodore and Mildred Mabel Mather Marlette. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 42 years, Marilyn (Krause) and his first wife, Sarah (Pierce) Dragt. He was the devoted and adoring father to eight children: Laurie (Don) Rasbridge, John (Sheryl) Marlette, Jeff (Debi) Marlette, Tom (Kim) Marlette, Lynne Marlette, Gillian (Gennaro) DellaCioppa, Scott Marlette and Lisa (Gavin) Grant.

On the Thursday, November 5th edition of HCAM News Live, we have scenes from the annual Hopkinton High School Seniors Costume Contest, we have the latest Hiller Sports Update including scenes from Field Hockey Senior day plus much more! But first we have Hopkinton Water-Sewer Director, Eric Carty joins us to give us an update on some of the happenings at the DPW.

On the show we talked high school sports including possibilities for winter sports and picked the winners for the Week 9 NFL games. Ethan Winter from the Metrowest Daily News Joined us along with Andy Barron from Myfm 101.3.

Community Notice of Post-Election Counting of Ballots

The Office of the Town Clerk will be holding a Post-Election Counting Session at the Hopkinton Town Offices, 18 Main Street. Counting will begin at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 9th, 2020.

This session is specifically for tallying eligible ballots received on election day or postmarked on or before November 3rd and received by 5:00 PM on Friday, November 6th.

As the Town Offices remain closed to the public we respectfully ask that observers register by emailing [email protected] in advance of the session.

Hopkinton Police Department Moves Towards Accreditation

Bennett III is pleased to announce that a team of assessors from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission is scheduled to arrive on December 2 and 3rd, 2020, to begin examining various aspects of the Hopkinton Police Department’s policies and procedures, operations and facilities.

Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 40.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 91%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 56%. Rain & Snow accumulated 2.07 inches last week. Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts "Scouting for Food for Project Just Because and Hopkinton Food Pantry

On November 14th, the Scouts BSA troops, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will be collecting food for Project Just Because Hopkinton Food Pantry to help Hopkinton residents in need.

Place your items in plastic bags near your MAILBOX by 10 AM on Saturday, November 14th. Please drop off any missed pickups at Project Just Because, 109 South St, Hopkinton (Mon-Thurs: 9AM-4PM).
