Cynthia Gibson Lin, 40, of Hopkinton, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Born in Hong Kong, she was the cherished daughter of Martina (Law) and Brian Tong of Natick. She was the beloved wife to Terry Lin of Hopkinton.
Cyndi was a graduate of Natick High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed home improvement projects, painting, and gardening. Cyndi was kind, caring and hard working as she put her creativity to work through an e-commerce business she built. She was the light of the party and had a natural way of uplifting those around her. She loved living in Hopkinton and was deeply grateful for the dear friends she met in town. More than anything, Cyndi was a devoted mother to her children. They were the center of her world and greatest pride and joy.
In addition to her husband, Cyndi is survived by four children, Kyle Gibson, Kelsey, Cameron, and Samantha Lin. She also leaves behind her sister, Natalie Shapiro, and her husband, Derek, of South Carolina, and their son, Jacob; her in-laws, Shang and Hillary Lin of Framingham.
