The Town of Hopkinton Department of Public Works is planning to construct a 5.5-foot-wide sidewalk along the southern side of Chestnut Street between Wild Road and Smith Road. There will be a crosswalk across Chestnut Street west of Wild Road to connect the existing north-side sidewalk to the new south side sidewalk.
Morais Contractors, Inc. will perform the work and will follow DPW Road Opening Permit requirements, which prevents lane closures before 9:00AM and after 3:00PM on high-traffic roads, including Chestnut Street.
Construction is scheduled to begin after the Boston Marathon on Tuesday, April 21.
