Big Night for Early Season TVL Boys Basketball

While all games are certainly important for determining league standings and qualifying for playoff berths, tonight’s Boys TVL Basketball slate has taken on added meaning. Both Norton and Holliston have jumped out to 2-0 starts in TVL Large, while perennial powers Hopkinton (Large) and Medway (Small) are seeking their first wins in their third games of the year.

Middlesex Sheriff’s Office to offer free R.A.D. program January 8-10

Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian announced Friday that the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office will host three nights of a women’s basic self-defense course beginning January 8. The class is free and open to any woman age 16 or over who is living or working in Middlesex County.

Local Police Officer Completes First Line Supervisor Training at Roger Williams University

BRISTOL, R.I., December 8, 2017- The Justice System Training and Research Institute at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I., in partnership with the New England Association of Chiefs of Police, recently recognized Sergeant Aaron C. O'Neil of the Hopkinton, MA Police Department for the successful completion of the “Command Training Series: First Line Supervisor Course,” a two-week comprehensive training program for police supervisory personnel.

Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Welcomes 34 New Corrections Officers

LOWELL, Mass. – Thirty-four new corrections officers joined the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office when they graduated from its 41st Basic Training Academy in a ceremony held Friday, December 8, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Over 250 family members and friends gathered for the ceremony.

Community Christmas Concert at St. Johns to raise money for the Mustard Seed Food Pantry Sunday 12/17

A community Christmas concert will take place at St. John the Evangelist located on 20 Church St. in Hopkinton on Sunday December 17th at 3pm. The concert will feature the Southeastern Massachusetts Community Concert Band and the St. John Children Choir. The concert is the 19th annual benefit concert for the Mustard Seed Food Pantry in Worcester, MA. Proceeds will benefit the food pantry. All are welcome especially families and little ones.
