Karen L. Sherman, 53 of Goochland, Virginia and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Shirley (Swain) and Bruce Creswell Sr. She was the former wife of Ralph Sherman Jr. of Rhode Island.

Karen was a member of the class of 1986 at Keefe Tech in Framingham. She enjoyed horseback riding, going to Provincetown, and baking cakes for her children’s birthdays and other special occasions.

On June 17th the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee (HDTC) held its nominating caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democrat State Convention.

The Hillers softball team captures the TVL Large title, Girls Lacrosse and Boys Lacrosse were also in action. Also, Hillers Baseball celebrates Senior Night and we caught up with Hillers Softball Head Coach, Shannon Allberry and some of the players on the TVL Large Champion, playoff bound Hillers.

The Hopkinton Women’s Club has awarded almost $300,000 in scholarships over the past two decades to students at the Hopkinton High School.
We wish to congratulate this year’s recipients: Riley Delany, Aditya Dutta, Alexander Fomin, Nicholas Igartua, Alannah Miller,
Megan Murchie, Charlie Nealon, Lucas Nealon, Courtney Olafsen, Mirabella Paolucci, Elana Regan, Eleri Schutte, Geneva Sganga, Alopa Waje, and Mohammad Zaidi. Also Catharine Barry received the Mary McDonough Community Service Award!
