The Hopkinton Education Foundation today announced that it is commemorating 20 years of advancing innovation in the Hopkinton Public Schools with the 20th Anniversary Gala Celebration on Saturday, February 4, 2012. This is a tremendous milestone for the Education Foundation, which has distributed almost $1 million dollars in grants to Hopkinton Schools over the past 20 years. The Gala will be held at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA from 6:00 PM until 12:00 Midnight. The Education Foundation invites the Hopkinton Community, corporate sponsors and supporters to join in the celebration.
The elegant and fun-filled evening will begin with a Cocktail Reception, Entertainment, Auction Promenade and Raffle Prize Stroll. The Auction Items include: A Hot Air Balloon Ride for four people, Lunch at the Downtown Harvard Club and Disney on Ice tickets, Red Sox tickets, Blue Man Group tickets and much, much, more! Immediately following, guests will enjoy dinner and a video that profiles "Twenty Years of Advancing Innovation". The evening will conclude with the continuation of the Auction and Raffle activities, dancing and more entertainment.

To enhance fundraising efforts, the Hopkinton Education Foundation will be hosting a “Grow-a-Grant” paddle raise. “Grow-a-Grant” is a special fundraising appeal during the course of the evening that where guests are asked to make a contribution, auction-style, by raising their paddle when the dollar amount of their intended donation is called. The Hopkinton Education Foundation has distributed almost $1 million dollars in grants over the past 20 years, positively impacting thousands of Hopkinton school children. The grants cover a wide range of subject areas and programs, such as new technology and learning tools, math and science programs, a Mandarin language program, early reading books, and structural changes to transform a library into a next generation information center.
