contribute's picture

The decision has been made to postpone the Hopkinton Golf Fundraiser from this Monday, Aug. 15TH to the new date WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24TH- Same times @ Shining Rock C.C. Registration 11:00-11:30 and golf at noon.

This decision was based on the forcast of rain all day on Monday. The Shining Rock C.C. needed to have an answer by this morning because they had to plan on food for 160 people. So let's hope our date on Aug. 24th is a beautiful day. It's the day before we start our HHS golf try-outs and season. Good way to kick off the new season.

Channel 5 Chronicle Visits Snappy Dogs

Lunchtime on August 2nd was no ordinary day for friends Lisa Volpe Hachey and Teresa Boyce. Sure, many customers swarmed their Snappy Dog's store front looking for mouth-watering hot dogs to fill their lunch hour hunger as has become a daily occurrence, but this day was special. Boston's ABC affiliate WCVB Channel 5 stood alongside the crowded lines as they filmed an upcoming segment for their popular newsmagazine show, Chronicle. Lisa's father, Tony, cannot help but smile at all that these entrepreneurial women have achieved in such a short time.

Didgeridoo Down Under at the Library

What's that noise you hear? It's a didgeridoo...a hollow tubular musical instrument native to Australia. Performer Lindsey Dank was on hand at the library on August 3rd for his Didgeridoo Down Under show. The show is run by a group called Didg Revolution, which hopes to spread some Australian flavor to people across the U.S. Dank first started playing the didgeridoo 10 years ago, and was instantly hooked.
