The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) has nearly reached a $20,000 goal for its Paint the Town fundraiser in support of the HCA’s capital campaign and building project. The Paint the Town fundraiser runs through December 31, 2014, and all donations will directly support the realization of a regional arts center on the historic property at 98 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton.

Launched in October, Paint the Town also serves to raise awareness about the project in the community. Every donation receives a token of gratitude in return, including colorful car magnet decals and garden flags which “paint the town” in support for the arts and the project.

To date, Paint the Town has raised just under $17,000, and the HCA is hoping to close the $3,000 gap before year’s end. “We’re truly building a hub for arts and culture for this community and the region,” said Kris Waldman, HCA Artistic Director. She continued, “This building makes possible programming that is for everyone – really, everyone.” Waldman hopes members of the community will consider making year-end contributions to this project to see Paint the Town end on a high note, and thus have an impact on the overall capital campaign goal of $1.95 million. Currently, the capital campaign has raised over $1.6 million, and the HCA is confident it will raise the needed additional funds to see the project completed and the building opened as part of the Hopkinton 300th Anniversary celebrations. In addition to the giving opportunities through Paint the Town, there are also multiple naming opportunities available to donors wishing to make a legacy gift. The opportunities exist at various levels of giving, ranging from donations of $1,000 to $500,000.

All donations to Paint the Town are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, and can be made online at www.hopartscenter.org or by mail. Those interested in discussing the building project, naming opportunities or finding out more about the HCA and its programs can visit the organization online, email info@hopartscenter.org or call 508-435-9222. Visits to the HCA can also be made Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
