This was a challenging year for the instructors at Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Teaching in the arts went from being hands on, to virtual, and in person with lots of adjustments to be made. The teachers had to adapt to what seemed like impossible circumstances. Yet they found ways to stay connected. They hustled all year to give the community art, music, and dance despite impossible odds.
Now it’s time to celebrate and appreciate them, each one a talented creative sharing their gifts with us in this exhibition. Beyond the Studio will showcase 37 works of 17 HCA instructors. Participants hail from 12 towns: Ashland, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Medway, Milford, Natick, Shrewsbury, Townsend, West Boylston, and Worcester.
Beyond the Studio will open to the pubic on March 26 and run through April 29 in the Lotvin Family Gallery at 98 Hayden Rowe St. In a masked and socially distanced manner, the public is invited to visit in person or visit our gallery page to view our 360 degree virtual tour from home.
