The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Friday, November 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, so new and returning eligible donors are encouraged to come, roll up their sleeves, and help ensure that lifesaving blood products are available for hospital patients. Donors with types O, B negative, or A negative blood are especially needed and encouraged to give a Power Red donation, if available. (Power Red is a procedure where the same amount of blood is donated, but it is processed through a machine where it is separated and only the red blood cells are taken; the machine returns the plasma and platelets to the donor.) St. Paul’s is located at 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) in Hopkinton, MA.
