Brandon Joseph Showalter, 28, passed away suddenly from a heart-related illness on Saturday, Augsust 25, 2012. Born in Boston, he was the son of Ronald A. and Catherine (Cotter) Showalter of Hopkinton and East Dennis.

He was a 2002 graduate of Hopkinton High School and attended UMass Amherst. He was the vice president of operations at All Pro Cleaning Systems of Westborough. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved watching NASCAR.

Besides his parents, he leaves his sisters, Lauren and Julie Showalter of Hopkinton, his maternal grandmother, Irene Cotter Seiders of Hopkinton (formerly of Dorchester), his aunts and uncles Joseph and Irene Cotter of Middleton, Walter and Patricia Cotter of Dorchester, John and Lee Cotter of Newton, and Jean Bramer , Barry, David and Steven Showalter of Ashtabula, OH. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends and his loving girlfriend and soul mate of five years, Katelyn D. Barry and her parents and brother Christopher, Kathleen, and Christopher Barry, all of Hopkinton and Orleans.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 20 Church Street. Burial will follow in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 29 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. in St. Johns' Hall, adjacent to the church.
