The Building Wreckers Local 1421 has joined a growing list of labor organizations in strongly endorsing Karen Spilka for Congress. The fifth union endorsement in as many days, Local 1421 is supporting Karen because of her leadership on the economy and focus on creating jobs.
“We are endorsing Karen because we know she will make supporting economic development her top priority,” said Thomas Troy, Business Manager of Local 1421. “As workers in the construction industries, we trust Karen to work every day to bring jobs and investments to our region. She’s been a fighter for us in the State Senate and we know she will do the same in Washington.”
“I will be a strong voice for working families in Congress and I am extremely appreciative of the support of the hardworking men and women of Local 1421,” said Karen. "I will use every tool possible to support our construction industry here in the Fifth District; these are good jobs that provide ladders of opportunity for the middle class.”
Karen has previously been endorsed by the Laborers' Local 609, Laborers' Local 22, IBEW Local 1505, the Boston Carmen's Union Local 589, American Postal Workers Union Local 4553 and has earned the backing of the Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO.
