In a letter to parents, Center School Principal Jen Parson has announced that she has accepted the position of Principal at the Lincoln Street School in Northborough, MA. The letter is reproduced below.

Dear Center School Families,

I am writing to inform you that after much thought and deliberation, it is with bittersweet emotion that I have accepted the position of principal at the Lincoln Street School in Northborough.

The decision to move on was not an easy one, because I have been professionally challenged and fulfilled at Center School; however, this decision was based on my professional desire to help lead a school that encompasses the full spectrum of elementary school grades, K-5.

As Center School's principaI, I have had the great fortune to work closely and collaboratively with the many talented professionals who educate our students each day. Center School has an amazing faculty who puts children first, and my successor will certainly be fortunate to work in such a caring, child-centered school setting.

During my tenure in Hopkinton, I have had the distinct pleasure of working closely with so many of you. I have observed firsthand the incredible impact that our parents have on our school community. I have learned from so many of you about what it means to wholeheartedly and selflessly support a school--I have watched you do this tirelessly year after year. I am so grateful to have been part of your lives, and I thank you for entrusting me with the education and well being of your children each day for the past seven years.

Since I have just accepted the position, plans for my replacement have not yet been determined. However, Dr. Phelan and Dr, Landman are aware of this situation, and they are both committed to ensuring and communicating a viable plan for the future leadership of Center School. I will definitely be here for at least part of the summer to continue with preparations for the upcoming school year and to ensure a smooth transition.

Thank you for your ongoing involvement and your endless support.

Truly,

Jen Parson
