A number of important procedural changes have been made to the bus fee payment and application process for the 2011-2012 school year. According to an email to parents from the Hopkinton Public Schools, bus routes and stops will be assigned immediately after the June 17th deadline for payment.

If payments are received (or postmarked) by Friday, June 17, 2011, the cost for a bus pass for the 2011-2012 school-year is $210 per student with a family cap of $420.

After June 17th the cost for a bus pass increases to $260 with a family cap of $520. Those making payments after June 17th cannot be guaranteed a seat on the bus or a nearby bus stop, and no new bus stops will be added to accommodate students whose payments are not received by the June 17th deadline.

Students in grades K – 6 who live within two miles of their school will receive a packet in the mail within the next week. Students interested in purchasing a bus pass should please complete the application, attach a check or pay online, and return it to the address on the application.

The 2011 – 2012 school year bus fee letter and application have been posted on the Hopkinton Public School website.
